    Welcome to our sea view retreat!
    On a beautiful green hillside, with breathtaking sea view and surrounded by olive trees and pine forest, our home is a blend of natural beauty and creativity. There's always something to do here, whether it's a new DIY project, a fresh coat of paint, or tending to our beautiful trees. We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy hands-on tasks and have a passion for transforming spaces. Jasper is a carpenter and has also worked for different grassroots NGOs. Rose works for the UN in humanitarian emergency relief. On the island we love to go for long hikes with the dogs, kite/wind surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkelling, dancing, enjoying music, and cooking. If you like the idea of helping in a serene, picturesque setting with a variety of tasks to keep you engaged, and you enjoy the company of our friendly dogs and cats, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!     Samos is a beautiful island, with plenty of hiking routes, picturesque villages, abundant forests, waterfalls, and incredible beaches. It's a paradise if you like outdoors sports such as mountain biking, kite surfing, wind surfing, or climbing.

    We also really enjoy the cultural exchange that comes with hosting. We like hearing about where people come from, sharing meals or conversations when it fits, and learning from each other’s ways of living. In return, we’re happy to show you the most beautiful spots we’ve found here over the years and share what we’ve learned about life on the island.

    Help

    Our garden always needs some extra hands. Depending on the season, there's (olive-) trees to prune, vegetables to plant, land to weed, olives to pick, fruits/vegetables to preserve, or fields to mow. There's plenty of tasks; light painting, natural stone walls to be rebuilt, stuff to be fixed, or general tasks. We simply don't have time to tend to all these things, so some extra hands would be very welcome. Rose is happy to help with the garden when she's available, and Jasper will do so with the other tasks.

    You will stay in our newly built guest room, it's separated from the main house so you'll have your privacy. You will have the most beautiful view from the bed, with a very large window facing the sea and the capital of the island right across the bay. You'll share the kitchen and bathroom with us. We like to take turns with cooking and cleaning.

    We'll make sure to offer at least one free meal a day.
