Description
Hi!
I'm outgoing, hard-working, inquisitive and an adventurous person. I am motivated to workaway in South America primarily to meet new people, learn new skills, and to practice my intermediate Spanish.
I like to travel slowly and occasionally write about my adventures, mishaps, and findings (follow my substack:))
As a carpenter, I have a decade of experience with manual work. I was raised on a farm in outback Australia, so that's more like three decades of work experience, but I skipped my shifts a lot as a child.
I studied history, literature and philosophy at university. I'm interested in the culture, language and history of the countries I visit. I feel I have been to too many countries too quickly, and at the same time have seen too few. It is a happy contradiction.
That I am so fortunate has been one of the abiding lessons of my experiences, and I hope to give my time to others in return for a view of their world.
I'm also publishing a book soon, and have just begun writing another. Optimally, while staying, I will be able to write for a few hours a day. -
