    Description

We are a small family of 3. Peter is a retired Registered Nurse, Dewi is from Java in Indonesia and works on a farm n the area, and our little boy, Toby (6) , returns I school for Year 2 in 2025.

We live on a 100 acre property that is mostly eucalyptus forest. We are "off-grid" with solar power, rainwater and gas cooking. There is an assortment of animals that - dogs, cats, chickens, and guinea pigs. We are looking for a little help around the property - helping feed the animals, painting, some light housework, helping sort out our overgrown garden, and maybe supervising/playing with Toby, in exchange for a place to stay and food to eat. It's not hard work, and we will show our helper around the area.

The person/s we are looking for should like children and animals, be practical minded to be able to help around the property, and be comfortable with the peace and quiet (except for roosters crowing and dogs barking) that comes with living in the countryside (our nearest neighbours are about 500 metres away), with no traffic noise.

We are about 45 minutes from Taree or Forster in the hinterland of New South Wales Great Lakes. Beaches are also about 45 minutes away. Mobile phone coverage is mostly good for voice and data (depending on carrier) and we also have satellite internet (can be a bit slow sometimes).

Accommodation is self contained in a caravan at present, but will change to a cottage when it's cleaned up and ready to stary in, and would suit single or couple.

Opportunity to see this part of Australia and stay with a family who loves to share stories and experiences. Peter has travelled to many places in the world, and has visited much of Australia through work and travel. Peter is also happy to be "tour guide" to show helpers around the area. Dewi is of Indonesian (Javanese) heritage, and has her own life experiences to share. She also makes some very yummy food!

Our main internet connection is via satellite, which can be a bit slow sometimes, but we also can access wireless data with adequate bandwidth for email, web browsing, video streaming and web chat.

    Space for parking camper vans

Ask me about stopping in your Camper, Motorhome or Caravan. There's plenty of space. I need to be careful with what gets plugged in to our solar system as some types of fridges and other electrical appliances can draw to much power and damage the batteries.
