    Description

We are a young family, living the rural organic dream with all the sweat and tears it comes with. There is Sebastian, the provider, head full of chemistry and research for his bread labour and Anna, the creative, source of chaos and production (gardener by profession).
Also there are 2 small daughters (7 and 4), 2 very active dogs, 2 cats, 2 Kunekune pigs, geese, chicken, ducks, quails - also there to provide distraction and a vegetable farm and work as far as the eye can see ;)
Now that we are halfway through with the house renovation, I am currently in the process of setting up my small vegetable farm. We produce a wild mix from herb mixtures to quail eggs in a very idealistic outset: as plastic-free as possible, regional, independent (of oil, supermarkets and industry) and as self-sufficient as possible.
There are various tasks, depending on your talent and motivation: sowing, weeding, planting, hoeing, harvesting, cooking, hoeing and more hoeing, mowing, repairing things, building, repairing them again, the daily walks with the dogs, entertaining the children, being entertained by the children...
We cook from scratch with our own produce and some treats (fish/meat/cheese) from out local foodcoop. We share the cooking duty equally with you. A certain basic level of independence is desired and you should enjoy physical work and the fresh air!
We live in a very rural area, so be entertained by the everyday life of grinding for the food you enjoy!

Due to asthma we can not accommodate smokers.

Please give yourself at least 4 weeks to settle into our lifepace and become part of our family.

I would LOVE to have some help with the dogs, babysitting and outdoor things: Weeding, crafting with wood for basic furniture, basic field work, sowing, harvesting, cooking every second day ....

Be sure to be entertained by little things in a quiet rural environment.

    Accommodation

In summer you will live in a camper-van in the garden. In winter we have a small guestroom inside. You share bath and food with us.

We cook FRESH and YUMMY without substitute products, trying to mainly use the harvest from our own garden (=seasonal diet!) and avoid shopping at the supermarket. We own a big supply of EVERYTHING, mostly in big jars of years supply. Other things - like milk, fish once a month, sometimes cheese, sometimes meat - we get from the foodcoop (regional and ecological) or farmerfriends.
We share cooking duty equally and bake cakes for sweets!
We try to avoid the SUPERMARKET and PLASTIC, as best as we can.

    We do NOt accomodate SMOKERS!
