Description
We are a French-Colombian couple with two kids (4 and 9 years), living near Nantes (Loire-atlantique)...and a bunny Biboune (4 years old).
We have traveled before and doing volunteering in south América and now we looking forward to welcome people in our place.
We would like to welcome someone for open our family to more cultures and exchange languages (Spanish, French, English), we love to practice différent languages and why not, learn some words from others languages...japanese? Our daughter is learning japanese and portuguese (basic) and my son is interesting about german (level 0 😁).
Life is becoming to be isolated from each other that could be nice to be around people and really connect.
We re building our house ourselves, it could be nice a lil help around.
We re really worry because this year it has been exceptional, there is less birds singing, insects…
We are focus on building our house (projet ongoing) but we have left for last part the garden, planting etc…the best time will never arrive and it is better to begin planting and doing a biodiverse space now. Not easy to build a house and a nature space at the same time.
We dream of a forest garden that works with nature, not against it. But we’re new to permaculture and need your enthusiasm, knowledge, and good energy. Start small but smart.
Teach us the basics so we can keep growing (literally!) after you leave.
Also we appreciate if there is someone could help us with building our house if you feel like DIY with us too.
We split our time between Le Pellerin (near Nantes) and Corsept, where we’re building our own house.
You could enjoy to visit around Nantes or around Saint-Brevin-les-pins, also to explore the Atlantic coast of France.
For summer, we re staying in Corsept (nearby saint brevin), it is less hot among the trees. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We would love to speak different languages and learn about another cultures.
We have a multi cultural environment at home, we enjoy meeting different people. We can teach you about plants and share our travel and volunteer stories.
We love books, a special kid collection in spanish, french and english, also go to muséums… be outside.
Our kids enjoying playing games and exchange languages.
We ll always up for sharing a good meal, a laugh, or a moment together. -

Help
We re focus on building our home and we appreciate some help (according to your skills, never in danger), we’ve delayed planting—but now is the moment to start.
Even small steps (fruit tree guild…)will make a huge difference. If you’ve ever wanted to help design a permaculture project from scratch, this is your opportunity!
We’re looking for people who enjoy being outdoors and don’t mind getting their hands a little dirty in the garden (cutting grass, planting, clearing brambles, etc.). It’s much nicer to do things together than alone.
It would also be great to have someone who likes to bring order to things — helping us sort, declutter, and organize.
.
For example, you can give us a hand in the mornings and then enjoy your afternoons relaxing, exploring the area, or focusing on your own projects. We’re flexible, and you’re welcome to contact us even at short notice. -
