Description
Hi! We are Jenny and Simon and we would like to welcome you to our farmhouse in South West France. We are both professional creatives, Simon is a writer from New York and Jenny an English artist with a business in Edinburgh.
We need help with gardening, clearing wild areas, re- building some simple stone walls, painting and some general helping around etc.
The house itself is a beautiful home already but was used as a holiday home, so needs upgrading and a lot of love. We are nearly half way through and the rooms we have are very clean and civilised. We have builders already, so just general clearing and physical help would be required.
Our helpers live on the lower floor as the house does not have internal stairs You will have a private double bedroom looking into our lovely courtyard, with bathroom and access to a private kitchen. We are decent cooks but we will provide general groceries for you to cook what you need. We generally all eat together under our lovely chestnut tree. We alos share cooking for everyone when that suits, so we can arrange that to suit.
We have one cat and one puppy at the moment, so animal lovers are welcome.
Our home is in the countryside with stunning hilltop views. The nearby town is Cordes sur Ciel, a very pretty and historic medieval hilltop town, which has lots of facilities. There is also a small city nearby called Albi, which has absolutely everything, very beautiful and has relaxed vibe, situated on the river Tarn.
Oh yes. We have Starlink WIFI and a huge pool to cool off in too!

We are both professionals, so we can help with our art and writing, economics and business knowledge. We can introduce our helpers to locals in the village and the general way of life here. We have bikes for exploring and can take you to places of interest. Jenny has lots of teaching experience so can help with most requests.
Help
We need help with general renovation tasks such as clearing and organising outbuildings, help with painting and gardening too. There are lots of outdoorsy and indoorsy projects to do but all manageable and just need a little previous experience or training can be provided for any new skills.

Accommodation
Big Farmhouse with garden, two barns and small fields. The accommodation is a large double bedroom with bathroom and access to private kitchen on the same floor. Our accommodation is upstairs and separate. We will stock your kitchen with food each week.
What else ...
We can supply a bike and lifts into town when needed. We are about 6 kilometres from the nearest town on a hillside. We also have a swimming pool for the spring/ summer/ autumn. There is a very cool micro brewery in the village and a bar that is always open. Lots of places to eat and drink.
