  • Description

We are a Swedish / Dutch couple who just start to restore a 120 year old farm. Our wish is to offer a offgrid experience . To reach that goal we need to build tiny houses, compost toilets hot outdoor showers and everything what comes with that. We are harvesting trees from our own forest, we Mill the trees on the sawmill and build on the old fashion way as they did 100 year ago with the use of some modern tools and techniques.

In the barn we have two 120 year old worden sailboats who we are restoring one is a Nordic clinker boat , those boats are part off UNESCO immaterial World heritage. There is also a steel two master in Stockholm who needs new masts. She is now in use as floating apartment in Stockholm.

We also starting a bio crops garden on raised beds.
We have the whole years volunteers sometimes a few sometimes one. There is on this moment One student carpenter who i guide to be a traditional woodworker, he is here just when it fits him a few days

The main goal is on this moment to finish the wood workshop Mill the trees we have harvest last winter, build Tiny houses and the sauna, we maintain the forest and there is some work in the house ( sanding, painting, installation from a wood stove)

So we are happy with people who like it to join this experience and have a good time in the Swedish nature.
I’m so very okay with people who wanna learning new skills, I have a bit a problem with people who tell me that they are good with cars,,, and wanna changes he spark plugs in a diesel motor. In that case I prefer that you tell me, sorry I don’t have a clue
Or it’s also a bit hard to invite the lumberjack, who never chopped a tree!

What is important for me, just be honest, the most off the time I need a hand, never used power tools fine than I teach you how to use them safely

But be aware, work in the forest in the winter is cold, we go in to the forest and harvest the selected trees, mill them so we have timber for nice projects.during the first week we can see a bit what kind off work makes everyone happy
