    Description

We are a family of 5, living the best live at beautiful Chimney Lake in the Heart of the Cariboo. We live together with our two older dogs, one puppy, two Guinea Pigs and 14 chickens right on the Lake and approx. 30min out of the town of Williams Lake.
We enjoy the outdoors, hunting, horseback riding and fishing, but we also like to spend time inside with our kids doing homework, crafts, baking or playing board games.
In the winter you can enjoy ice fishing, cross country skiing or snowmobiling.
With three kids aged 8, 6 and 20month there’s never a dull moment, we promise :)
We offer food and accommodation for some help with the kids (mostly the youngest) animals and around the house.
You live in a private bedroom in the basement which includes also your own newly renovated bathroom.
We offer three meals per day and surely snacks or whatever you would need in between.

We are originally from Germany, so if you’re wanting to practice your language (English or German), this is the right address. Our kids are all raised bilingual.
You can enjoy country style living with living out of town and the lake right in front of you.

    Help

We expect you to support us with our kids. This being said, the older two are in school until 3pm on school days. We have a 20month year old boy who needs a lot of attention right now :) we would need some help with him, so we get some things done around the house.
If we have overlapping shifts, your job would be to look after the kid(s) for the overlapping time, which should never exceed 3 hours.
Also some animal care is required, which consists mainly of feeding the animals, cleaning out the Guinea Pig cages and cleaning the chicken coop. Also our 8 month old Border collie needs some extra attention.
We would like you to help with a few things around the house, just like gardening, help with some cooking, baking or cleaning.
We ask you to take care of your bedroom and bathroom yourself regarding cleaning.

Williams Lake has a lot of close by hiking trails, cross country trails, a pool, a theater, restaurants and pubs, shopping is limited cause it’s a small town, but you get what you need.
You can come to town with us when we run our errands but can also have an own transportation if wanted/needed.
There are lots of horse events in the area (if you are horse crazy like all the Ladies in this family) just like Barrel Racing and Gymkhanas, also the Famous Williams Lake Stampede will take place June 28- July 1, 2024!
