  My name is Christian and I was born in Northern Virginia 🇺🇸, but currently reside in the Valley (suburb) of Quito 🇪🇨. I'm basically looking for volunteers to help me with some home projects and with the upkeep of my property.
  
  My household consists of my dog (Mighty Max 🐶) and I. I live in a four bedroom house, with a two bedroom guest house within the property, which means that I have more than enough space to accommodate anybody looking to relax and have fun, after helping me with some light work of course. I manage to stay busy most of the time, yet I also manage to keep a very flexible schedule. So flexible in fact, that I've taken Couchsurfers (I used to be quite active on that platform before joining Workaway) to a wide variety of places and activities in this area and it's proximities, such as live music, historic sites, parks, and more.
  
  The Valley is considered one of the best places to live in Quito. It is home to those whom want to escape the urban sprawl of the city. And although there's plenty of public transportation here, I'm always available to show you around and take you wherever you choose to go.
  
  In summation, I'm pretty much laid back and a go with the flow type of guy, looking for a helping hand around my property.

  Mi nombre es Christian y nací en el Norte de Virginia 🇺🇸, pero actualmente resido en el Valle (suburbio) de Quito 🇪🇨. Básicamente estoy buscando voluntarios que me ayuden con algunos proyectos y con el mantenimiento de mi propiedad.
  
  Mi hogar está formado por mi perrhijo (Mighty Max 🐶) y yo. Vivo en una casa de cuatro habitaciones, con una casa de huéspedes de dos habitaciones dentro de la propiedad, lo que significa que tengo más que suficiente espacio para acomodar a cualquiera que busque relajarse y divertirse, después de ayudarme con algún trabajo ligero por supuesto. Me las arreglo para mantenerme ocupada la mayor parte del tiempo, pero también logro mantener un horario muy flexible. De hecho, es tan flexible que he llevado a Couchsurfers (solía ser bastante activo en esa plataforma antes de unirme a Workaway) a una amplia variedad de lugares y actividades en esta área y sus proximidades, como música en vivo, sitios históricos, parques, y más.
  
  El Valle es considerado uno de los mejores lugares para vivir en Quito. Es el hogar de aquellos que quieren escapar de la expansión urbana de la ciudad. Y aunque aquí hay mucho transporte público, siempre estoy disponible para mostrarte los alrededores y llevarte a donde elijas ir.
  
  En resumen, soy un tipo bastante relajado que va con la corriente y simplemente busco ayuda en mi propiedad.

  Spending time away from the city, but being within minutes of it, is always a plus. However, the exchange of one's own culture with that of another person's, as well as exchanging knowledge and experiences is also a plus.

  Help

  I'm in the process of clearing out some of my belongings and posting them up for sell. Which means I could use some help going through my belonging and picking out the things that can be sold, or that needs repairing. Although I could also use a helping hand with other projects, such as, but not limited to ⤵️
  
  • General clean up of the yard.
  • Sort and price items that I'll be selling.
  • Painting the house.
  • Planting vegetables and general garden maintenance;
  • Pruning the dead foliage from the bushes, etc.;
  • General housekeeping.
  
  It's really helpful to have workawayers who understand how to do general daily chores without being asked, like taking out the trash, sweeping the floor, or setting the table. But most importantly, a person's home is his palace, so I ask that my home be treated as such.

  Estoy en el proceso de limpiar algunas de mis pertenencias y publicarlas para la venta. Lo que significa que me vendría bien un poco de ayuda para revisar mis pertenencias y elegir las cosas que se pueden vender o que necesitan reparación. Aunque también me vendría bien una mano con otros proyectos, como estos, entre otros ⤵️
  
  • Limpieza general del patio.
  • Clasificar y poner precio a los artículos que venderé.
  • Pintar la casa.
  • Plantación de hortalizas y mantenimiento general del jardín;
  • Podar el follaje muerto de los arbustos, etc.;
  • Quehacer general.
  
  Es realmente útil contar con trabajadores que sepan cómo realizar las tareas diarias generales sin que se lo pidan, como sacar la basura, barrer el piso o poner la mesa. Pero lo más importante es que el hogar de una persona es su palacio, por eso pido que mi hogar sea tratado como tal.

  Accommodation

  For accommodations, I offer you the choice of picking whichever bedroom you prefer, except mine. Since I'm an entrepreneur who works a minimal number of hours per month, I am not an early riser. I do not require you to work on a schedule, so you'll be able to work whenever it suits you. I am not big on eating breakfast or lunch, but I do keep the refrigerator stacked with food. Food that you're more than welcome to eat, so long as you save some for me.

  En cuanto al alojamiento, te ofrezco la opción de elegir la habitación que prefieras, excepto la mía. Como soy un emprendedor que trabaja un número mínimo de horas al mes, no soy madrugador. No necesito que trabajes en un horario, por lo que podrás trabajar cuando te convenga. No soy muy aficionado a desayunar o almorzar, pero mantengo el refrigerador lleno de comida. Comida que eres bienvenido a comer, siempre y cuando guardes algo para mí.

  What else ...

  My house is located in Sangolquí, which is 30-40 minutes from Quito. Sangolquí isn't very large, yet you'll find anything and everything you might need here. Depending on your expectations of the traveler,I can advise you which sites or activities to visit, or I could take you and/or accompany you.

  Mi casa está ubicada en Sangolquí, que está a 30-40 minutos de Quito. Sangolquí no es muy grande, pero aquí encontrarás todo lo que puedas necesitar. Dependiendo de las expectativas del viajero, puedo aconsejarle qué sitios o actividades visitar, o podría llevarle y/o acompañarle.
