Description
My daughter Alina and I, Lisa live in Waikaraka on the water in a large home in Whangarei area. We have 2x rescue cats, Blackie and Stripey, so named as weren't going to keep and named generically. Our dog is an SPCA lab cross Remy now 8. We are pretty laid back and I am semi retired so around most of the time. The summers are great with large deck, kayaks, great neighbours and relaxed atmosphere. Love to fish, usually some snapper from fishing friends, but can fish from dingy/kayaks or waters edge at low tide.

I am a good ambassador for my country having been in NZ almost 30 years. While originally from US, lived in Germany 6 years and love showing off cool things in NZ. Some great walks nearby, Waimahanga, Smugglers Cove, Mt Mania, Hatea Loop, Mair Park to Whangarei Falls etc... Ocean Beach (surf) at end of Whangarei Heads and live on inner harbour with kayaks.
Help
Just looking for a little help around house with small projects. General help with ongoing projects, house and garden, nothing major. Need to paint my half a garage. It's on my to do list so probably done soon. I find having others around motivates me to get going.
Otherwise house tidy or gardening.
Like meeting people and I have traveled a lot and love to hear other people's adventures.

Accommodation
Queen size bed and bathroom opposite. Have lots to food options. I am not really breakfast person but have chickens so free range eggs and lots in fridge. Always make nice dinner and happy to experiment to suit a person's tastes. I am a great cook - my daughter thinks so 😃 and have organic beef from my farm up north. Have an aspiring garden too if vegetables more your thing. Good Saturday Market for veggies in whangarei.
What else ...
Live close to town, no bus at Waikaraka but Onerahi 2 minutes away has busses. I am happy to drop off in town as just 10 minutes away. Cool walks nearby and a good place to chill out.
