Kristy is an amazing host! I learned a lot! Working with four kids is definitely a big challenge, but it’s also so rewarding. Every week the schedule is different, which is so nice to experience different events and meet people. The job needs a lot of energy and resilience, but Kristy’s kindness and family spirit made me feel like part of the

I'm really pleased about this experience! Kristy is a very kind person and will guide you. Communication is definitely the good point : everything is clear and you can discuss with Kristy. It was my first workaway experience and the best decision I could have made. I spent 5 weeks with this incredible family. Lucas is an excellent teacher and I had so much fun learning from him. Besides playing with the kids I worked on little projects like reorganizing a room and helping with the household.

I am spending one month at Kristy's house, from the end of February to the end of March. This months are really cold, there's a lot of snow and for me, coming from the south of Italy, it's amazing to see the whole town covered in white.
The first week here has already gone, there's still more to go but I am already sad of leaving this wonderful

There's an aupair who helps with the kids, so I am basically helping with housekeeping (cooking, daily organization...) and sometimes, when needed, I take care of the younger kid, Lucas who is such a blast and fun to have around and to play with. They also have a dog, Coco, who is the sweetest dog ever!
The funniest thing is that Kristy always suggests new activities so the job is never boring. She is amazing, so patient, she understands my point of view, she knows that it's not so easy to get into a new house, with a different way of living, she gives you time to adapt yourself. What I also love about her is that, no matter how busy she is, she will always find a moment for you. I too appreciate that she always says thank you, even if there's no need to.
I totally recommend this place to people that want to get a full immersion into the american culture. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Marcello! He adapted very quickly to our home, and my boys instantly were attached to him. He stayed for several months and helped with all household chores, including outside. He was capable of taking care of all 4 children and loved to run around and play sports and tag, and anything they wanted to do.

Marcello asks a lot of questions which is helpful as he is eager to learn and strives to be the best that he can at everything he does. He is a very hard worker, an extremely nice person, and he always says "i just want to help", which he does. He is very respectful and flexible. My children absolutely adore him, and they are going to miss him. He's a very special person and we were very lucky to have him join our family. I would HIGHLY recommend Marcello to anyone who asked me without hesitation. He is just a wonderful person all around and very mature for his age.

Tatiana is very sweet and just a nice person. She is an EXCELLENT cook and willing to cook for the family (even working around allergies). I spent a whole month with Kristy and her 4 lovely boys. It was definitely the best workaway experience I have ever had!
I was mostly working on new projects in their front and back yard. I also helped building a beautiful patio. All those projects were a lot of work but also so much fun! Kristy was and still is very thankful for all I did.
