Hello and welcome! We’re a friendly household in Rorschacherberg, Switzerland, with a lovely freestanding home overlooking Lake Constance. Our property has a garden, a large terrace with lake views, and easy access to the towns of Rorschach and St. Gallen.
We sometimes travel and would like a reliable, hands-on person to help look after the house and garden, keeping everything tidy and running smoothly. Tasks include gardening, light maintenance, cleaning, and general household upkeep. ideal for digital nomads/bloggers)

Our home is in a unique corner of Switzerland — just a few kilometres from Austria and Germany, and right above the shores of Lake Constance (Bodensee). From here you can easily visit St. Gallen, Bregenz, Lindau, and even Liechtenstein, all within an hour.
You’ll experience Swiss daily life in a peaceful residential area while being surrounded by different cultures, languages, and cuisines. It’s a perfect place to practice your German or English, enjoy local markets, lakeside walks, and hiking or cycling trails.
We’re happy to share local tips, help you explore the region, and introduce you to the slower rhythm of life by the lake. You’ll also have time to travel and discover the surrounding countries on your days off.
Help
We’re looking for someone practical, organised and independent to help keep our home and garden in great shape. Typical tasks include:
🌱 Gardening: mowing, weeding, pruning, watering plants
🧹 Cleaning: tidying indoor and outdoor spaces, occasional deep-cleaning
🪴 Outdoor care: sweeping the terrace, cleaning furniture, helping with seasonal tasks
🏡 House care while we’re away: watering plants, collecting mail, checking the property
You don’t need to be an expert, but some basic DIY and gardening experience is helpful. We appreciate people who take initiative and enjoy working independently.

Accommodation
You’ll have a private bedroom on the ground floor of our freestanding home in Rorschacherberg, with access to a shared bathroom on the same level. The house has a second bathroom upstairs and a bright, open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area on the top floor.
The highlight is the 50 m² terrace overlooking Lake Constance, perfect for relaxing or enjoying meals outdoors. The property is peaceful, surrounded by nature, yet only a short walk from local shops, the bus stop, and Rorschach train station.
This is a self-catered stay — you’ll buy and prepare your own meals, with full access to the kitchen. There’s fast Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and plenty of space indoors and out to enjoy your time off.

We’re located in Rorschacherberg, within easy reach of Rorschach train station, local shops, and the lakefront. Public transport in the area is excellent, and we’re just a short drive from St. Gallen, Bregenz (Austria), and Lindau (Germany).
Smoking is only permitted on the terrace, not inside the house.
Depending on timing and insurance arrangements, there may be a car available for local use.
We value respect for the house, cleanliness, and a calm, responsible attitude. The setting is peaceful and ideal for someone who enjoys nature, independence, and beautiful lake views.
