    Description

Hello! We are Amy and Latham and we live on a sustainable small farm in Central Victoria, Australia. We have sheep, alpacas, chickens, three cats and two dogs on our 42 acres, and grow vegetables and fruit, with over 100 different fruit trees.
We are a family of 5 (three kids ages 10, 12 and 14) and live as waste-free as possible. Our children are home educated and very active on our farm.
We currently only have accommodation for those willing to stay in a caravan or that have their own caravan, van, etc as we build our new workaway accommodation. The caravan we have is new and we have all the mattresses and bedding needs for your stay.
My partner works 4-5 days a week outside of the farm and I run a small business. We generally need help with planting, weeding, harvesting, preserving, help with the sheep and other gardening jobs.
We are also interested in help with our children and with house duties, and also teaching our children different languages.
You can do either inside (house duties/children) or outside (farm/gardening) jobs or a mix of both, we don’t mind which you choose.
We look forward to welcoming you to our property!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We currently are looking at people staying with their own accommodation, such as tents, caravans. We are about to start building a tiny house in our garden where helpers will be able to stay. You may be able to help us with the construction during your stay here.

We offer 3 meals per day and snacks in-between. Most of the meals are vegetarian, expect for the occasional meat meal from our own meat grown on our farm.
There is one bathroom and toilet to share for the whole household. We are planning a compost toilet for outside.
We have 2 spacious living rooms for you to use.
    We have three cats.

    Please Note:
    - We collect our own rainwater, so please be conscious of how much water you use during your stay with us.
    - We generate all our own power. We have solar power, so can't use any heavy machinery (including washing machine, dishwasher, etc) during the night.
    - We produce our own cooking and hot water from our wood fire stove (and solar power in summer). The stove is hot all over when a fire is going.
    - We try not to produce any landfill rubbish. If you do produce rubbish during your stay please ask for a plastic bag and you can dispose of the rubbish on a visit to town.
    Thank you!
