  About us ❤️
  We are out of the city and live on a beautiful bush property near a forest! My partner David and I have a young son and we are both very interested in dance, music, bike riding, and a bush and city combination!
  
  We live in Newham, macedon ranges, one hour from Melbourne (more by train). We can pick you up from the station which is 15 minutes away (Kyneton or Woodend). If you have your own transport- that’s wonderful, but we do leave the property at least once a day so we can do ocasional drop offs in town for shops etc And we would be open to negotiating some touristy drop offs locally. We have a few separate spaces and shared spaces - so- depending on everyone’s preference- you can stay in your own small house or in the home with us or at the music studio in the caravan. The studio is where we host retreats and Artist residencies and is an ongoing project to make it a more warm and inviting space for community art and meditation type events!
  
  Length of stay ❤️
  We are open to short and also long term stays- we just require a short video chat before we say “yes” to visitors to double check it’s a good fit for everyone. We also love the idea of long stays- we just ask that you understand that if it isn’t working out for some reason for either you or us- we would do our best give a few days notice for ending the exchange/stay and vice versa and do our best to see if we can connect you with other hosts locally if you want to stay locally.
  
  
  Work expectation ❤️
  We have two options- either five hours work a day with two days off a week in exchange for food and accomodation
  Or, 15 hours a week help (3 hours a day for 5 days) but with no food provided. (*Depending on how busy we are- we will request one option or the other.)
  For skilled maintenance/labourers or skilled gardeners- you may do extra work (in addition to your set five hours) for my parents with payment by negotiation -but only if there is time available and a need at that time.
  
  
  LANGUAGE ❤️We most interested in a Spanish speaking work away person/people (intermediate or advanced) (Charlotte only speaks Spanish with Henry). We especially would like someone/people who are happy to speak only Spanish with our son, (it’s really important to us that he is exposed to the language from others- other than his mother!)… and to speak Spanish with Charlotte also when you’re not around David (if David’s around- we will speak English -as adults- (still Spanish with Henry) as David’s Spanish is very beginner for now!) -This means, you could practice your English with David- or when we are all together as a group!
  
  More about us ❤️
  We love to share food and culture and life with people who visit us. We can share our creative loves (you could come to classes I teach if you like!), you can play in the studio which is just down the road, have a go on our instruments, enjoy the bush and swimming holes, meet some local revegetation/conservation legends (my parents!), and get to know a very special volcanic country.
  
  A bit more about us- ❤️ we have a hobby vegetable patch and want to plant more local species also. We want to start preserving and drying food and planting more fruit trees and such. We have simple things I’d like help with at home and in and around my studio.
  
  I’m (Charlotte) a composer and musician and lead people in the community in meditative and exploratory projects also and David is a physical theatre artist, nurse and lecturer in nursing. Henry is a ball of love and energy… 1 year old in January 2024!
  
  I’d like help with any/or some of my websites maybe, basic house stuff and creating a more home-like feel, cooking, cleaning, Henry hanging out etc.

  Creative music and movement is something we specialise in and can share about. We live in an area that has a lot of Old volcanic rock, my parents live down the road, and my mum especially is very interested in native plants and they are part of the local Landcare group, and very knowledgeable-there are beautiful walks and places to visit in the area

  We are open to a combo of things- may change depending on when you come!!….Childcare, Cooking, cleaning, gardening, basic home care tasks: gutters, weeding, planting, dishes, a sweep and a mop would be amazing! Cooking. Doing laundry! Help getting studio more beautiful and home! Gardening help!
