Description
Dear workawayers, our family came from South America to Austria in 1985, on this beautiful place on earth. The courtyard was completely renovated full of zest for action and great ideals and created from the former conventionally intensively used agricultural areas, an oasis where nature could be natural again. The goal was and is to use our resources in a sustainable way, to maintain a natural cultural landscape with high biodiversity, to provide us with biological vegetables and fruit growing ourselves. To make us energy self -sufficient in the next few years, to circle an alternative way of life, where people and nature live in harmony, a platform for creative being and knowledge exchange are just a few of the many dreams we live.
The courtyard is secluded, surrounded by meadows and forests, 10 hectares of property with hay meadows, orchards, young and old fruit trees, hedges with countless birds, insects and amphibians ... Our parents (born in 2 different continents) fell in love with each other and the idea to live a autonom life in a autark way. At that time, everything was produced by themself ,from vegetables, goat cheese, wooden toys to the leather shoes. Various communities and a school was founded. A lot has been tried out and new livelihoods were created.
We siblings, Quilla and Ananda took over the farm from our parents in 2012, continued their philosophy and now living our own dreams.
The family: Ananda and her husband Jerôme (from Marseille) can pass on their great knowledge of organic agriculture, cooking, refining and durable. Quilla with his wife Antonia and the two kids (Lia and Neo) live in their own container house at the farm and also works on various projects. They are happy to share their many years of experience in a wide variety of areas with everyone who is interested. Our mother Birgitt is the creative force lives with our brother Jamal in the ancient wooden house.

We mainly focus on the biological cultivation of vegetables and fruit and process it into delicious dishes or preserve the products for personal use. We focus on the principle of permaculture and apply various methods. It is important to us to take into account the entire circuit and to continue learning. A small flock of sheep, chickens and ducks, complete the farm. Since we have the privilege of being presented with land and considering the threatening climate katasrtophe and the exploitative neoliberal system, we see it as our big task to continue to face the challenges with a lot of strength. And our passions such as the production of own foods, preservation of the seeds (old varieties, great variety), make it durable and the boiling into wonderful dishes (which are sweetened by our lives), combine us every day with what is so sacred to us: good life!

Liebe workawayer, unser Familie kam 1985 von Südamerika nach Österreich, auf dieses schöne Plätzchen der Erde. Der Hof wurde voller Tatendrang und grosser Ideale komplett renoviert und aus den ehemaligen konventionell intensiv genutzten landwirtschaftlichen Flächen, eine Oase geschaffen, wo Natur wieder natürlich sein durfte. Das Ziel war es und ist es, so schonend wie möglich mit unseren Ressourcen umzugehen, eine natürliche Kulturlandschaft mit hoher Biodiversität zu erhalten, uns durch den biologischen Gemüse und Obstanbau selbst zu versorgen. Uns in den nächsten Jahren energieautark zu machen, eine alternative Lebensform zu kreiren, wo Mensch und Natur im Einklang leben, eine Plattform für kreatives Sein und Wissensaustausch, sind nur einige der vielen Träume die wir leben.
Der Hof liegt abgeschieden, umgeben von Wiesen und Wäldern, 10 ha Eigengrund mit Heuwiesen, Streuobst, Junge und alte Obstbäume, Hecken mit unzähligen Vögeln, Insekten und Amphibien... Unsere Eltern (geboren in 2 unterschiedlichen Kontinenten) verliebten sich ineinander und in die Idee sich als Selbstversorger zu verwircklichen. Damals wurde vom Ziegenkäse, Holzspielsachen, bis zu den Lederschuhen alles selbst produziert. Verschiedene Gemeinschaften und eine Schule wurde gegründet. Vieles wurde ausprobiert und neue Existenzen geschaffen.
Wir Geschwister, Quilla und Ananda haben 2012 den Hof von unseren Eltern übernommen, ihre Philosophie weitergetragen und leben nun unsere eigenen Träume.
Die Familie: Ananda und ihr Mann Jerôme (aus Marseille) können euch ihr grosses Wissen über Bio -Landwirtschaft, Kochen, Veredeln und Haltbar machen weitergeben.
Quilla mit seiner Frau Antonia und den beiden kids (Lia und Neo) leben in ihrem eigen konzipierten Containerhaus am Hof und arbeitet zusätzlich an verschiedenen Projekten. Ihre langjährige Erfahrung in den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen teilen sie gerne mit allen die Interesse haben.
Unsere Mutter Birgitt ist die kreative Kraft lebt mit unserem Bruder Jamal im uralten Holzhaus.
4 Katzen und Leila unsere weisse Wölfin;)
Wir konzentrieren uns hauptsächlich auf den biologischen Anbau von Gemüse und Obst und verarbeiten dieses zu köstlichen Gerichten oder konservieren die Produkte für den Eigenbedarf. Dabei setzen wir auf das Prinzip der Permakultur und wenden verschiedene Methoden an. Wichtig ist uns dabei den gesamten Kreislauf zu berücksichtigen und ständig weiter zu lernen. Eine kleine Schafherde, Hühner und Enten, vervollständigen den Bauernhof. Da wir das Privileg haben, mit Land beschenkt worden zu sein und in Anbetracht der bedrohlichen Klimakatasrtophe und des ausbeuterischen neoliberalen Systems, sehen wir es als unsere grosse Aufgabe, weiter mit viel Kraft uns den Herausforderungen zu stellen. Und unsere Leidenschaften wie die Herstellung von eigenen Lebensmitteln, Erhalt des Saatgutes (alter Sorten, grosse Vielfalt) , Haltbarmachen und das Verkochen zu wunderbaren Speisen (die unser Leben versüssen), verbinden uns täglich mit dem was uns so heilig ist: das gute Leben!

We are happy to welcome all people from all over the world who are interested to be a part of our family and to share our way of life, no matter which gender, colour and religion.
We will need your help only in the private area of our farm and not in the business with tourist guest or seminar guests, because we have employees working with us there, not Workawayers.
Your help will be needed: in the garden (care, harvesting ...), we also process our vegetables into fine products, what we use in wintertime for privat consumption. You can learn how to make jam, kompott, sauces, dry tomatoes and how to conserv it.
What else to help: cutting fruit - trees, Mowing the lawn, making electric fences for the sheep, go for a walk with the dog...
We enjoy to work with nature and to see what she's giving us if we treat her well.
There are often also handcrafted works. The old house has to be renovated, but also new projects are planned. Constantly new things are coming to us and we are also happy about your ideas. And above all about the joint implementation of the constructions. If someone has special talents or a lot of experience in specific areas, we appreciate this very much.
Our animals (sheep, chickens, ducks, geese) must also be provided, although they live very independently.

Wir freuen uns über Menschen die motiviert sind uns bei den täglichen Arbeiten zu helfen und unseren Lebensstil zu teilen. Eure Aufgaben am Hof betreffen Gartenarbeit, Ernten und Verarbeiten,Tiere versorgen, sowie Rasenmähen etc.... Eure Unterstützung wird jediglich im privaten Bereich benötigt und nicht für den Seminarbetrieb!
Wir lieben es mit der Natur zu arbeiten und sind dankbar für alles was sie uns gibt. Neben der Gartenarbeit (Pflege, Ernte...), verarbeiten wir auch unser Gemüse zu feinen Produkten. Sowie beim Anbau stecken wir auch viel Leidendenschaft ins Essen, es wird immer viel und gut gekocht. Wir essen immer gemeinsam und das ist ein schöner Moment sich auszutauschen. Bei uns kannst du lernen Gemüse und Obst auf verschiedene Arten haltbar zu machen. Das ist als Selbstversorger ein essenzielles Wissen um seine Produkte auch nachhaltig zu nutzen.
Es fallen auch oft handwerkliche Arbeiten an. Die alten Häuser müssen renoviert werden aber auch neue Projekte sind geplant. Ständig fallen uns neue Dinge ein und freuen uns auch über eure Ideen. Und vorallem über die gemeinsame Umsetzung der Konstruktionen. Wenn jemand besondere Begabungen hat oder viel Erfahrung in speziellen Bereichen gesammelt hat, wissen wir das sehr zu schätzen.
Unsere Tiere (Schafe, Hühner, Enten, Gänse) müssen natürlich auch versorgt werden, obwohl sie eigentlich sehr selbständig leben.
Wir bekommen sehr viele Anfragen und ich bin sehr bemüht allen zu antworten.
Aus organisatorischen Gründen ist es uns sehr wichtig, uns in jedem Fall rechtzeitig Bescheid zu geben, falls sich eure Pläne ändern sollten.
