  Hi! We are a friendly and lively family living in a beautiful traditional village on the island of Corfu, Greece.
  We are a Czech-Greek family with three children – our son is 6 years old and our twin girls are 5.
  Our home is always full of life, children, animals, laughter and little everyday adventures.
  We live in Marmaro, a peaceful old village surrounded by beautiful nature, not far from some of the most amazing beaches on the west coast of Corfu. We love the sea, beach evenings, swimming, spending time outdoors and enjoying the relaxed island lifestyle. Corfu is a wonderful place to discover, with traditional villages, mountains, beaches and plenty of beautiful places to explore in your free time.
  Animals are a big part of our family and our home. We have dogs and cats, and we care deeply about animals in general, so someone who genuinely enjoys being around them will feel very welcome here.
  We are looking for someone who would like to become part of our everyday family life for a while – not simply a visitor or worker, but someone with whom we can share our home, cultures, meals, conversations and experiences. We are easy-going, open-minded and flexible, and we want our Workawayer to have plenty of time to enjoy Corfu and create their own memories on the island.
  We speak Greek, Czech and English in our family, so our home is naturally multicultural. We would especially love to meet someone ( also couple) positive, independent, responsible and kind who enjoys children, animals and a more relaxed village lifestyle.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We are a Czech-Greek family, so cultural exchange is already a natural part of our everyday life. We would love to share both Greek and Czech traditions, food, language and family life with our Workawayer.
  
  Living in a small traditional village on Corfu gives you the opportunity to experience a more authentic side of the island, meet local people and discover places away from the main tourist areas. We are happy to show you our favourite beaches, villages and beautiful places around Corfu, and when possible you are very welcome to join us for family activities, beach evenings, local events or meals together.
  
  Another interesting part of our life is boatbuilding. Theo works professionally with boats, building, restoring and renovating them. If this is something that interests you, there may be opportunities to see how the work is done, learn more about boatbuilding and restoration, discover this traditional and practical profession, and sometimes even get involved in simple tasks if appropriate.
  
  You can learn some Greek (and even a little Czech if you like!), experience everyday island life and get to know how a Greek family lives outside the tourist season.
  
  At the same time, we would love to learn about your country, traditions, food, language and way of life. Our children are naturally curious, so meeting people from different parts of the world is something we see as a wonderful experience for the whole family.
  
  We hope this will feel like a genuine cultural exchange rather than simply a place to stay and help. 😊

  Help

  We are looking for someone who would naturally become part of our everyday family life. We are also happy to offer pocket money for reliable, conscientious help and a positive attitude. 😊
  
  The help is simple and varied, mainly:
  
  - light help in the garden
  - simple household tasks such as vacuuming, tidying and putting things back in their place
  - helping us keep the home and outdoor areas organised
  - spending time with our children in the afternoons ❤️
  
  The most important thing for us is that you genuinely enjoy being around children and are happy to spend time with them, play, suggest games, activities or little trips and simply bring some new ideas and energy into their afternoons.
  
  Our children finish school and kindergarten around 4:00 PM. From then until about 7:00 PM, we usually dedicate the afternoon to them – playing, swimming, sports, walks, little adventures, creative activities or sometimes doing simple household or garden tasks together.
  
  You will usually not be left alone with everything. Most of the time, we will do things together – I will also be cleaning, organising the house, spending time with the children and helping with the daily routine. We are looking for an extra pair of hands and someone who enjoys being part of family life, rather than someone who has to manage everything alone.
  
  We would love the whole experience to feel natural, friendly and relaxed for everyone. ❤️

  Accommodation

  We can accommodate one or two people in a private apartment on the upper floor of our family home.
  
  The apartment is completely separate and has its own bedroom, private bathroom with shower and a small kitchenette, so you can enjoy your own space and privacy while still being part of our family life.
  Wifi, washing machine, dryer...
  
  On the same floor, exclusively for our Workawayers, there is a huge private terrace with beautiful views over the green valley and, on clear days, towards the Albanian mountains. The terrace is large enough for relaxing, sunbathing, having meals outside, doing yoga, or even sleeping or camping under the stars if you feel like it.
  
  You are also welcome to enjoy our garden, small swimming pool and the other outdoor areas around the house.
  
  Food is included, and you are welcome to share meals with us when it suits everyone. As you also have your own kitchenette, you can prepare something for yourself whenever you prefer.
  
  We want you to feel comfortable and at home here, with plenty of privacy and your own space, while still having the opportunity to spend time with our family. 😊

  What else ...

  Having a driving licence is a big advantage, as exploring Corfu is much easier by car. We provide a car for our Workawayer to use, so you can visit beaches, villages, Corfu Town and other parts of the island during your free time.
  
  There are many beautiful places to discover nearby – beaches, traditional villages, walking routes, small tavernas and wonderful viewpoints. We are also happy to recommend our favourite places and help you discover parts of Corfu that tourists often miss.
  
  Our home is lively and informal. We have children and several animals, so it is not always perfectly quiet or perfectly organised 😊 We are looking for someone who feels comfortable in a real family home, likes animals and is happy with a relaxed island lifestyle.
  
  We simply ask that you respect our home, keep your own apartment and shared spaces reasonably tidy, and communicate openly with us if you need anything.
  
  We want you to have enough independence and privacy, but you are also very welcome to join us for meals, trips, beach days or everyday family activities whenever it feels natural.
  
  Most importantly, we hope you will come not only to help us, but also to enjoy Corfu, relax, explore the island and leave with some beautiful memories. 🌿☀️🌊

  Our private apartment is also suitable for digital nomads. You will have your own quiet space, kitchenette and a large private terrace, so there is plenty of room to work and relax. We can arrange the helping hours flexibly around your online work whenever possible. Wi-Fi is available, although as we live in a small village, we recommend checking with us in advance if you depend on a very fast or completely uninterrupted connection.

  Can possibly accept pets

  We love animals and may be able to welcome Workawayers travelling with a pet, but this needs to be discussed with us in advance. Any visiting pet must be friendly, well behaved and comfortable around children, dogs and cats, as we already have several animals of our own. Please tell us about your pet before arranging your stay so we can make sure it will be safe and comfortable for everyone. 🐾
