  • Description

    Description

We are Aleks and Juna, a couple of 55 and 45 years. Aleks works as a teacher and me parttime as a registrar. Our four children are all grown up and out of the house. We still meet on a regular basis and love to gather. We also love cultural exchange and exchange of language very much. The tasks we would need some help with greatly depend on the season. In winter, we still heat with firewood. This needs to be procured and stored each time. Kindling also needs to be cut. In autumn, after the harvest, all the fruit trees are treated several times with organic tree paste, and the base of the trees is sprayed with special preparations. You'll learn with us how to care for natural and ecologically valuable meadows, the advantages of mowing by hand, the proper care of honeybee colonies, the production of biochar and Terra Preta, and much more throughout the year.
We are a private homestead and are only producing for our own consumption.
We will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. You'll be staying in a large attic room with your own small living area, kettle, and refrigerator.
We love to cook and enjoy fine dining. We also love spending time outdoors, travelling or working in our workshop. The area around us offers excellent hiking and fantastic views opportunities. And Basel, with its rich cultural offerings, is just a half-hour ride away by public transport.
