Description
I am a start up smallholding, close to major surfing town in Northwest Ireland. I live with my young son and we have a dog and 4 hens. I have a background in organic horticulture and have studied permaculture design and i have worked in commercial growing and volunteered on various natural build projects. Over the years I have gathered a good bit of knowledge and I also have an interest in biodynamics. I live in a cottage style house and a few years ago we built a hempcrete extension. I work from home most days in a professional job, and in my spare time I have been setting up a permaculture garden with an edible landscape of an orchard and fruit bushes, and also a polytunnel and kitchen garden.
My home is a 20 minute walk from a small seaside holiday town, which is famous for it's surfing with beautiful beaches, and on the other side a 15 minute walk brings you to a beautiful lake and mountain backdrop. There is a major town a half hour drive south and a good local bus service. My home is pretty central for exploring Northwest Ireland, being on the border of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal and a 20 minute drive from Fermanagh.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
As i work full time from home, I have little regular time to spend in the garden and polytunnel, but i know what needs to be done. I am looking for someone that can work on their own initiative and knows the basics about growing food. There will also be bigger projects - starting new beds and building mobile coop, tending to trees in the orchard, and these will be jobs done together, time permitting.
I will provide accommodation, a double bedroom and your own door entry, with shared kitchen. I do not provide meals and you must buy your own food. I have a busy life outside of work with my son, and meal times are irregular, so meals will not be eaten together.Languages

What else ...
There are many things to do in the local area and there is a good bus service locally for travelling all over the country. There are lots of beaches and surf spots, sailing, boating, kayaking, beautiful mountain walks and lake board walks.
I am very busy during the day with my work 9am to 6pm, and I am only available to answer any questions during lunch hour Mon - Thurs.A little more information
