Hello!! I'm a 26 year old from New Zealand who loves to travel, learn, connect with others and be useful.

In the past I have used workaway and other volunteer sites and have had a range of positive experiences and learnt a whole lot- I have worked in hostels, on organic farms and lifestyle blocks, helped out with social organisations, helped teaching English to school children, babysat, helped with general housework, and have done a range of house/pet sits.

In my spare time I like to read, paint (I have done a few murals), swim, play chess, learn, hangout with friends and see live music. I am a very relaxed, friendly person and I just would like to experience as much as I can, and travel helps with that!

Having Cinamin stay with us was a pleasure. It was as if we had an old friend visiting. My son enjoyed playing games in English with her, anything we asked help with wasn't a problem. Most importantly though, it was all very uncomplicated and it all felt very natural.

Cinamin and Hope are both bright and friendly girls, they were a joy to have around for both our guests and the other volunteers. They were ready to work hard and to take part in all aspects of the hostel. I would recomment them for all workaway placements as they are fast learners with a fantastic attitude.

Hope and I stayed here with Claudia, Ursula and the rest of the community for 3 weeks. Although the work is often repetitive and can be exhausting at first (if you’re not used to physical work), the time usually passes quickly and it’s definitely an experience we value having had.
