    Description

Please only apply if you are currently in Australia.

We are a not for profit organisation seated on the edge of Royal National park. We welcome young enthusiastic people who are passionate about living a healthy and balanced yogic lifestyle. Now, through our residency program, we are offering a limited number of positions to sincere practitioners interested in a total immersion in the yogic way of life.

The yogic path is one of personal challenge, which leads to a deeper fulfilment. It is not always easy, but it is always rewarding. At our Valley we offer you the opportunity to know yourself more completely than ever before through a complete program of traditional yoga practice -- hatha (asana/pranayama), sacred study (nana), mantra (japa/kirtan), service (seva), moral observance (yama/niyama), and love and devotion (bhakti).

Our intentional eco-yoga community is centered on the practice of selfless service — which allows us to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Through our daily practices and focus in service we are challenged to look inwards, to free our minds, and to bring ourselves back to a place of clear intention, love, and compassion.

Help can take many forms from gardening to property maintenance, preparing nourishing food for our guests and residents, construction help, admin and marketing, teaching asana classes and more. Service hours vary depending on the department. Service is performed for 28 hours each week as part of your 40 hour commitment. The rest of your time is focused on regular practice and immersive education.

By serving in our community with an open heart and a generous spirit, we contribute to a beautiful exchange of giving and receiving, both on a practical and a spiritual level, a combination of Karma, Jnana and Bhakti Yoga - the yoga of action, knowledge and devotion. While staying with us your life will be a balance between service, private retreat time, sharing in community life and personal growth, facilitated through daily yoga, workshops, kirtans and other programs.

We run a program based on healing, nurturing, and spiritual advancement.

The program consists of a mixture of asana practice, meditation, and insightful workshops. Outside of service hours we are encouraged to participate in as much of the program as possible to further our progress.

There are also opportunities for regular peer reviews, mentorship, and feedback to ensure we are all getting as much as possible from our time here.
