  Description

  Our home is located on a lakeside 80 acre property, in Lorinna, in the North West of Tasmania.
  50 acres is a spectacular protected forest nature reserve, with a 2.2 km walking track, which takes you down to Lake Cethana.
  Fully off grid and we are moving towards sustainable living.
  The property has an established orchard and a beautiful vegetable garden, all needing ongoing maintenance.
  We have pets who are a big part of our life, chooks, geese, guinea pigs and 2 sheep!

  Paul and I are new to the land and are on a steep learning curve ourselves. We are happy to share this learning journey with you. Our community has a wealth of knowledge, centred in Organic / Permaculture principles.

  With 80 acres, we have lots of jobs on the ‘to do list!’
  We have a beautiful straw bale home, big vegetable garden and 150 fruit trees- all with a variety of tasks to do!

  Accommodation

  Just a few steps from the main home, is our log cabin. This has a Queen bed, and wood heater. Shared family bathroom and kitchen. Our home is fully solar powered, with tank water. We are in a remote part of the North West of Tasmania, with no public transport and very few facilities located locally.

  We have a canoe you can borrow, walking tracks near by, fishing on the lake.

  We have star link internet, allowing great access to the www... At present this isn't in the log cabin, but we are looking into an extension so the log cabin can have great internet too. If needed - the small spare room in the house has good Internet, and can be used, after discussion and coming to shared meaning, for work.
