    Hi Adventurist,
    We are ,Corinne (48) and Clovis (12), Roalfe (4) our little Terrier dog. We have relatives and friends who live nearby so sometimes our home can be full and social and other times quiet and still with the sounds of birds.
    We also have a beautiful vibrant man, Andrew (57ish?) who has recently moved into the house. He is a fabulous care taker, and manages the property in our absence. He is enthusiastic, vibrant and a pleasure to connect play and work with.

    During the school term, we are living schooling and working in BRISBANE. Our workawayers guests are welcome to stay with us there as well, if convenient to your arrival and departure travels. Some times we can provide transport between the places when we all travel to and from together if dates align.
    During the school and summer holidays, and the odd weekend here and there, Clovis and I go back to our home on the property in Riley's Hill. We could host guest in both very different locations where dates match up.

    I love people and we love learning new things that different personalities bring to our lives. We are passionate about community, the environment, healthy living and the space we live in.
    Various interests in our family are: humanity, art, drawing, nature, out door recreation, gardening, swimming, beach, cooking, music, wildlife, bushwalking, travel, trampoline jumping and dancing in our pjs.
    With the help of family, friends and tradesmen, we built our own home which took us many years, and Its continually needing cleaning, maintenance, small improvements and organising. We have also already renovated an old cottage on the property next to the main house. We also have guest staying in here from time to time.

    Over time we are also continuously developing and maintaining permaculture gardens. We put our guest to work in areas they are experienced or qualified or capable and interested in.
    So in other words we find a task to match your skills. We also often help alongside guest as a team. We would hope you put in a fair amount time into helping us in projects and the running of everyday life. 4 or 5 hours, There is also plenty of time where you can have free time or we all do some pleasurable outings together.

    We have been hosting foreign travelers for more than 10 years, we are also on other websights. All our guest have really enjoyed themselves, often choosing to stay much longer than they originally planned, and many have become long term friends. I have been complimented on my patience, parenting, compassion and teaching methods. Guest generally leave feeling they have been loved and become one of the family members. I have helped many people learn and practice new skills, enjoy new experiences, as well as improve their english. We have introduced our guest to the wider community, Australian lifestyle, Australian native wildlife (fauna and flora), recreation experiences in the great outdoors, and shared some local hidden treasures as well as popular tourist destinations when extra time allows. But what they also get, is authentic day to day living in rural community in country Australia. And meeting different native animals around the yard and neighbourhood.
    Now our guest have opportunity to join us in the Australian city of brisbane also, or get transported to or from brisbane on occasion, When we visit there for work or school .

    We have a variety of projects going on to suit most skill levels and interests. weather it be:
    - help in and around the home, cleaning, cooking, and help with my daughter’s learning.
    - yard tasks, mowing, brush cutting, gardens, design, weeding, mulching, watering, planting, gardening.
    - basic DIy type help, guided house tasks.
    - organising designing and helping implement efficient systems and routines for the family home.
    - computer help, technology assistance.
    -continuous decluttering support getting my second hand pre loved items ready to sell on marketplace decluttering
    - hanging folding washing
    - assisting my daughter in learning and atm rearranging designing cleaning her room
    —Positive inspiration.

    Unfortunately we don’t run a large enough scale business to offer any wage type of employment. We handle the running of a little and occasional short term rental our selves. We also have a local professional cleaner we out source in the rare occasions we can’t get to it our selves and need them. This means any “work away” assistance, is on a cultural exchange basis only, to support our family and home living, and not for any business and profit of ours.

    You would have your own room with in our home at Rileys Hill, with a queen size bed air conditioning and heating, books to read. the room is downstairs, we sleep up stairs.
    Two toilets, one down stairs near bedroom .
    Shared bathroom shower upstairs
    (Until I can renovate another one.)

    We also have a place in Brisbane in which we stay in during the school term, I would be open to hosting the right person there also . How ever the place in Brisbane is smaller and means you would either have my daughters room or the comfy single bed with a privacy screen partitioned off in the living area.

    We are situated in a small community on the north coast of nsw. 40 minutes south of the popular Byron Bay. 20 odd minutes from Ballina, 10 minutes to Evans head with beautiful surf beaches and rivers, Our property borders onto farmlands and Broadwater national park, which has some lovely walking trails. There is a spring fed swimming hole with in walking distance of our home. The roads here are quiet and ideal for country bike rides. The nearest shop and small town is 3 kms away. The nearest beach is 7 kms.
    We have kayaks surfboards, bikes, we can also some times coordinate to drop and pick you up at the bigger towns for your leisure on rest days after some busy working days. There is also the school bus in and out of town that guests can catch. On the northern rivers there is also horse riding, rain forests, or alternatively there is a hammock you can hang up just at the front door.
    We firmly request that no recreational drugs or alcohol be used or bought onto our property. .

    We can pick up and drop off from most places. Depending on dates and times. The closest domestic airport is Ballina. Closet international airport is Coolangatta, Gold Coast. Or brisbane. Closest coach travel stop is Woodburn.

    Us, the neighbours or the school bus for local day trips around northern rivers.

    My daughter and I also reside in Brisbane sometimes during the school term and could host the right person there too.
