Description
Welcome to Nybro in the heart of Småland!
Nybro suits you who aim for staying in Sweden for long term. Here you would have a pretty free schedule, not more than 25 hours per week.
We are an elder couple that would love some help around the house and the garden.
You would have your own room but a shared bathroom and kitchen with temporary guests since we plan to rent out some rooms in our house mainly during the summer season.
If it would be of your interest, I would love to bring you to play the Swedish national sports 'boule' and 'kubb'. Despite my poor eye-vision I play pretty well and have won a few national championships.
If you like working out you are welcome to join me to the nearby gym with sauna where I work out a couple of times per week. Me and my girlfriend like to travel and then we would also need help with watering plants.
In Nybro there is a beautiful lake, a swimming hall, bowling hall, hockey and ice-skating rink, cinema, library, cafés and restaurants. Winter time you can ski. There are also plenty of trekking trails and more lakes around the town. From the central station there are trains and busses that brings you to Kalmar in 15 minutes. In Kalmar you will find a more lively night life, and more cafés and restaurants. It has also a University and therefore there are lots of (mostly young) students.

You will have plenty of time to explore the surroundings and we can give you lots of ideas what to do in your spare time, like hiking, fishing, swimming, cykling/moutainbiking.
Since we travel sometimes we don't keep any animals.Types of help and learning opportunities

In Nybro it would mostly be household work. If you enjoy gardening you are free to do some gardening too, especially if we decide to travel somewhere while you are here.
