  Welcome to my old farmhouse near Lake Geneva!
  
  My name is Laurence, I’m 60 years old and I live in an old rural house with 20,000 m² of land, in the beautiful Montreux region of French-speaking Switzerland.
  
  Just to be clear, this is no longer an active farm: the house is now a private home, and there is no cultivation or agricultural production. The land is simply used as a living space and open area for my horse.
  
  👉 So there is no agricultural tasks involved.
  
  I’m curious about other cultures and always happy to learn new things. I enjoy simple, respectful exchanges, where everyone can feel welcome and at ease.
  
  Due to long-term health issues, the house and land haven’t been maintained as I would have liked for several years. Now that I’m slowly making progress, I would truly love to receive a helping hand to bring some light and beauty back to my home and daily life.
  
  I’d be happy to welcome a kind, positive and independent person to help gently reorganize and care for the place: tidying, sorting, gardening, small repairs, maintaining the surroundings, and helping with my horse — depending on your skills and what you enjoy doing.
  
  The house is in a quiet and peaceful setting, surrounded by nature, perfect for a slower and simpler pace of life. You’ll have a lot of space and independence.
  
  The area is stunning: lake, mountains, hiking trails, festivals… And here, we keep things simple and honest.

  Bonjour et bienvenue dans mon ancienne ferme à proximité du lac Léman !
  
  Je m’appelle Laurence, j’ai 60 ans et je vis dans une ancienne bâtisse agricole avec 20'000 m² de terrain, dans la magnifique région de Montreux, en Suisse romande.
  
  Il faut savoir que ce n'est plus un domaine agricole actif : la maison est aujourd’hui une habitation privée, et il n’y a aucune culture, ni production agricole. Le terrain est simplement utilisé comme espace de vie et de liberté pour mon cheval.
  
  👉 Il n’y a donc aucun travail agricole prévu ou demandé.
  
  Je suis curieuse des autres cultures et toujours heureuse d’apprendre de nouvelles choses. J’apprécie les échanges simples, respectueux, où chacun peut se sentir à l’aise et bienvenu.
  
  Pour raisons de santé, l’entretien de la maison et du terrain s’est accumulé depuis plusieurs années et, à présent que je fais des progrès, je serais vraiment heureuse d'avoir de l'aide pour embellir ma vie et les lieux.
  
  Aujourd’hui, je serai ravie d’accueillir une personne positive, autonome et bienveillante pour m’aider à remettre doucement de l’ordre : ranger, trier, jardiner, bricoler, entretenir les abords, s’occuper de mon cheval… selon ses envies et ses compétences.
  
  La ferme est un lieu paisible, entouré de nature, propice à un rythme de vie plus simple. Cela signifie que vous aurez beaucoup de tranquillité et d’indépendance.
  
  La région est splendide : lac, montagnes, sentiers, festivals… Et ici, on partage avec simplicité.
  Alors si vous avez envie de vous reconnecter à la nature, de donner un coup de main à un projet simple mais authentique, dans une atmosphère paisible mais vivante, je serai ravie de vous accueillir.

  I need a helping hand to bring the house, the farm and the surroundings back into shape.
  
  🛠️ Winter Project – Sorting, Painting & Creative Help 🎨📦
  
  This winter, I’m looking for a hands-on, independent person who enjoys organizing, decorating, painting, and helping with practical tasks.
  
  The main project will involve sorting and cleaning items, photographing them, measuring and listing them for sale (online ads, Facebook Marketplace, etc.), and helping set up a small "shop zone" in the old stables to give a second life to many things around the farm.
  
  There will also be some light home improvement: painting, freshening up and decorating the guest room (which will be your accommodation). 🛏️❄️
  
  Tidying, sorting, organising (rooms, tools, accumulated items)
  Light tasks (small repairs, painting, cleaning)
  Helping with house tasks
  
  We can do some tasks together, depending on my energy. I’m always happy to share ideas, explain how things work here, or learn new ways of doing things.
  What I’m really looking for is someone motivated, respectful and kind, who enjoys contributing in a positive spirit :)
  
  Due to health reasons, I may need to move eventually, so I’m trying to prepare everything very slowly, step by step — and would deeply appreciate some help.
  
  🚗 A driving license and your own car are highly recommended, as DIY stores are nearby and picking up materials may occasionally be needed.
  
  Please note 😊 For health reasons, I can only host one person at a time and for a maximum stay of 15 days.
  
  I’m looking for someone with real experience in the planned tasks, as it would be difficult for me to teach to someone without experience.
  
  A driving licence is essential, and having your own car is a great plus. 🌿

  You will be accommodated in a private room inside the house, which we will be refreshing and decorating together during your stay. It’s simple but warm and functional, and will evolve step by step as part of the project — ideal for someone who enjoys creative and practical tasks like painting, organizing and light diy.
  
  You’ll have access to the shared kitchen, bathroom, and a parking space. The house is located close to several beautiful ski resorts and winter hiking areas, making it a great base if you enjoy being out in nature during your free time.
  
  A driver’s licence and vehicle are strongly recommended, as local shops and DIY stores are nearby, and having a car makes it easier to explore or pick up materials when needed.
  
  Meals 🍲
  I’m a vegetarian, but I’m happy to host someone who eats differently.
  Unfortunately, I’m not able to cook regular meals due to health reasons, but I will cover the cost of groceries, and you’ll have everything you need to prepare your own meals in the kitchen.
  If we’re both feeling up to it, we may occasionally share a meal — especially if you enjoy cooking!
