  • Help

    Help

Our volunteers help us care for & feed all of the animals on our property daily, as well as general farm tasks including picking up lots of horse poop! We are a working farm & charity so there is always something to do! If you’re proactive & have a great attitude – you’ll have a home here. We hope you’re able to enjoy your experience with our amazing animals & help support our charity as you learn to work with & help these injured horses.

Some of our horses can be challenging as they re-learn how to behave around people. They need a lot of care & patience while they adjust to life outside of racing. Calm, clear & consistent communication is very important when working with our horses.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Our accommodation is self-contained in the barn & separate from the main house. The bedroom has 2 single beds with a separate kitchen & bathroom – these facilities are also used by visitors & must be kept clean at all times. Barn life gives you a real farm-hand experience on a working horse property, but its not for everyone! It is a basic room that is functional & clean. We provide basic food items for volunteers to prepare their own meals daily.

Our location provides you with an excellent base to enjoy a rural stay in the Moreton Bay region of South East Queensland. On your two days off you have access to the train into the city – then its only an hour train ride to surfing on the Gold Coast! We also encourage you to plan overnight stays in Brisbane CBD & book a tour to beautiful Moreton Island & feed the dolphins at Tangalooma.
