Description
My name is Trung. My village is a poor village in northern Vietnam.
I belong to an ethnic minority. As my village is poor, I would like to help the village to improve their standard of living. So I am trying to bring more travellers there - so that they can see how the ethnic minority live and work.
I have started my own homestay in my traditional long house built on stilts where travelers can come and experience our lifestyle and see tours of the beautiful surrounding area. I live with my grandparents, and we also have a farm on the property.
There will be some Vietnamese young adults from minority villages who will stay with me in my house, and they want to learn about running a homestay and also learn more English, so volunteers will have fun working together with them on the homestay business.
Because we are going through the steps to become a non-profit, we ask for a suggested donation of $5 per day to help cover the costs of meals and our projects. If you are not able to pay, you can still feel free to reach out to us.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
We welcome volunteers who speak English well and/or have experience with social media, marketing, and running a small business. We also welcome people with specific skills that they would like to share. For example, if you are an photographer or graphic designer, it would be great if you could do some presentations about your work and your styles or media. We hope that people from different backgrounds can come here to share about their lives and show the local people what career paths are possible.
Here are our ongoing projects: helping with the homestay!
The volunteers who help with the homestay will manage the social media and help with promoting our business by writing about it and taking pictures. They will work with the local Vietnamese to develop this new business. The amount of work may vary per day, but expect to spend at around two hours per day creating posts on our social media and helping manage/improve our profiles on booking sites.
We provide free food(fresh from our farm), accommodation and on - site wifi.
You can reach my house by bus and I will pick you up, or if you are coming by motorbike, we are happy to help you find the best route.
I look forward to hearing from.
Thank you,
