  Description

  We have two people who work on the farm, it is a couple, their functions are to maintain the farm, essentially managing the cocoa and coffee plantations and other activities that are entrusted to them. Hello, I am Richard, I am 40 years old, I traveled through a large part of my country and a little of Bolivia, getting to know its people, customs and landscapes, I like gastronomy, crafts, being in the mountains, gardening, swim whether in a river, lagoon or sea, I have worked on issues related to forest management and conservation, I know a little bit of English, French and Portuguese. My family is my mother, Martina, 70 years old, she is a retired teacher, who never ceases to surprise me, she now has a leadership position in the town center. Now I want to share what I have learned and continue learning on topics related to food security, water security, conservation and environmental education, for the benefit of my community and nearby areas.
  
  Information about the Project:
  
  Location: We are in the Central Jungle, in the town center of SAN PEDRO, belonging to the district of Coviriali, province of Satipo, Junín Region, in Peru, at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level, within the transition zone of the Avireri Vraen Biosphere Reserve, this jungle is the transition zone between the Amazon rainforest and the cold zone of the Andes.
  
  Residence: The project has a house in the town center (urban area) with 4 rooms on the second level, drinking water, electricity and Wiifii internet. In addition to them, there is a farm of 4.5 hectares (45 thousand m2) dedicated to the cultivation of cocoa, coffee and fruit trees. This farm is located 10 minutes from the house in the town.
  
  Project Objective: The project is about transforming a traditional farm into a more ecological one, seeking to share, create knowledge and awareness about organic farming, and extend this knowledge to the most vulnerable people in the project's sphere of influence. . On the farm we currently have organic Cocoa and Coffee crops, these products are the basis of the economy of many farmers in the area, we make chocolates with a part of our crops, we will learn the entire procedure, just like with coffee, no A good cup of coffee or chocolate is never missing. We work in organic gardens for our consumption and to learn the techniques, we grow spinach, cabbage, lettuce, onions, chilies, beets, celery, aromatics, cucumbers, caiguas, squash, tomatoes, broccoli, among others, as well as flowers. There are also internal boundaries on the farm where there are fruit plants such as: Plantains, oranges, lemons, mandarins, tangelos, sweet lemon, papaya, star fruits, cocona, pineapples and also Yucca and pituca plants. Within the farm there are areas of water flow which we want to take advantage of to raise fish, and we also want to raise small animals, such as chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. The farm is very diverse, there are timber trees, bamboo, streams, large rocks or rocks, a medium-sized river, it is a blessed place. Share the culture of the central area of my country, with the culture of the volunteers and create gastronomic, artistic fusions and help for the most vulnerable. The purpose of the project with the volunteers is - to learn to teach - there will be 2 days a week to visit other farms of more vulnerable people and help with what they have learned. For free hours, outings are scheduled for 2 days, it is optional for those who wish to go, to some magical places in the area, other days we can do macramé and jewelry workshops (bracelets, necklaces, etc. etc.) For weekends it is also scheduled outings to more remote towns that are also very beautiful.
  
  Contamos con dos personas que trabajan en la finca, es una pareja, sus funciones son la de mantener la finca, escencialmente en manejo de las plantaciones de cacao, café y otras actividades que se les encomienda.
  Hola, soy Richard, tengo 40 años, viajé por gran parte de mi país y un poco de Bolivia, conociendo a su gente, costumbres y paisajes, me gusta la gastronomía, las artesanías, estar en el monte, la jardinería, nadar sea en rio, laguna o mar, he trabajado en temas relacionados a manejo y conservación de bosques, conozco un poquito de Ingles, Francés y Portugués. Mi familia es mi madre, Martina de 70 años, ella es una Maestra jubilada, quien no deja de sorprenderme, ahora tiene un cargo dirigencial en el centro poblado. Ahora quiero compartir lo aprendido y seguir aprendiendo en temas relacionados a, seguridad alimentaria, seguridad hídrica, conservación y educación ambiental, en beneficio de mi comunidad y áreas cercanas.
  
  Información del Proyecto:
  
  Residencia: El proyecto cuenta con una casa en el centro poblado (zona urbana) con 4 habitaciones en el segundo nivel, agua potable, fluido eléctrico e internet Wiifii. Además de ellos se cuenta con una finca de 4.5 Hectareas (45 mil m2) dedicados al cultivo de Cacao, café y frutales, esta finca se encuentra a 10 minutos de la casa en el pueblo.
  
  Objetivo del Proyecto:
  El proyecto se trata de transformar una finca tradicional e una más ecológica, buscando compartir, crear conocimientos y conciencia sobre agricultura ecológica, y extender este conocimiento a las personas más vulnerables del ámbito de influencia del proyecto.
  En la finca actualmente tenemos cultivos de Cacao y Café orgánico, estos productos son la base de la economía de muchos agricultores de la zona, nosotros hacemos chocolates con una parte de nuestras cosechas, aprenderemos todo el procedimiento, al igual que con el café, no falta nunca una buena taza de café o chocolate.
  Trabajamos en huertas orgánicas para nuestro consumo y para conocer las técnicas, cultivamos, espinacas, coles, lechugas, cebollas, ajies, beterraga, apio, aromáticas, pepinos, caiguas, zapallos, tomates, brócolis, entre otras, además de flores. También se cuenta con linderos internos en la finca donde se tiene plantas frutales como: Platanos, naranjas, limones, mandarinas, tangelos, limón dulce, papaya, carambolas, cocona, piñas y también plantas de Yuca y pitucas.
  Dentro de la finca se cuenta con áreas de flujo de agua el cual queremos aprovechar para crianza de peces, y también queremos criar animales menores, como gallinas, patos y cuyes.
  La finca es muy diversa, hay árboles maderables, bambu, arroyos, grandes rocas o peñas, un río mediano, es un lugar bendecido.
  Compartir la cultura de la zona centro de mi país, con la cultura de los voluntarios y crear fusiones gastronómicas, artísticas y de ayuda a los más vulnerables.
  El proyecto con los voluntarios tiene como fin - aprender para enseñar – se contará con 2 días a la semana para visitar otras fincas de personas más vulnerables y ayudar con lo aprendido.
  Para las horas libres se programan salidas 2 días, es opcional para quien desee ir, a algunos lugares mágicos de la zona otros días podemos hacer talleres de macramé y bisutería (pulceras, collares, etc etc.)
  Para los fines de semana también se programa salidas a pueblos más alejados que también son muy bellos.

  We believe that learning to teach is the greatest benefit that we will obtain and grant, our mission is to leave a mark of teaching and learning on the families or individuals who benefit from our social assistance. As a cultural exchange, you will be able to learn about the work techniques regarding the crops in this area of the country. The population of this area is descendants of the mountains, so you can see a mixture of the jungle and the central mountains in their dishes. traditional, in their festivities, in their social organization, there is also a native community called UMANAVANTI, who are in a process of losing their traditions and customs, we also want to do work together with them to value their customs and promote the revaluation of their cultural identity. For my part, I am a person who I consider to have traveled a large part of my country, I have met people from different places in the world, I really like having that contact and being able to take advantage of the enthusiasm that volunteers have to know, teach and leave a little better. the place where they stayed, I think I have that gift, to serve, I have been an artisan for five years, I like arts and crafts, I studied a professional career around forests and watershed management, which I will also use to teach and also learn, from that sustainability approach. 100% sure that we will practice Spanish in all its colors...
  
  Creemos que el aprender para enseñar es el más grande beneficio que obtendremos y otorgaremos, nuestra misión es dejar una huella de enseñanza y aprendizaje en las familias o personas beneficiarias de nuestra ayuda social.
  Como intercambio cultural, se logrará conocer las técnicas de trabajo en cuanto a sus cultivos de esta zona del país, la población de esta zona son descendientes de la sierra, por lo que se puede apreciar una mezcla de selva y sierra central, en sus platos tradicionales, en sus festividades, en su organización social, también se cuenta con una comunidad nativa llamada UMANAVANTI, quienes se encuentran en un proceso de perdida de sus tradiciones y costumbres, también se quiere hacer trabajos junto con ellos para poner en valor sus costumbres y promover la revalorización de su identidad cultural.
  Por mi parte, soy una persona que considero he recorrido gran parte de mi país, he conocido personas de distintos lugares del mundo, me gusta mucho tener ese contacto y poder aprovechar esos ánimos que tienen como voluntarios de conocer, enseñar y dejar un poco mejor el lugar donde se quedaron, creo que tengo ese don, de servir, he sido artesano por cinco años, me gusta las artes y la artesanía, estudié una carrera profesional en torno a los bosques y el manejo de cuencas, lo que también usaré para enseñar y también aprender, desde ese enfoque de sostenibilidad.

  Help

  Help on Farms: Help on the farm is done from 8:00 am to 11:00 am according to the interest of each volunteer, we make proposals for activities from which they can choose, there are 2 days per week in which We visit other people's farms, where we do social help, the activities to be carried out are the same, we propose activities and the volunteer chooses what he wants to do, always with our advice. The main most common activities are: Work in the cocoa and coffee plantation, Plant maintenance, pruning, pest control, fertilization, weeding, harvesting and production of new plants. Processing of Cocoa and Coffee, harvesting, extraction of the beans, fermentation of the beans, drying of the beans, roasting and grinding in an artisanal way. Work in the organic garden, plant maintenance, harvesting, irrigation, fertilization, seeding of new plants, weeding and pruning. Projects to be carried out: The main project is to transform a traditional farm into an ecological and sustainable one. In addition to this, it is planned to build a small dam in order to store a greater volume of water, for raising fish, also the construction of a fence and a chicken coop for the free breeding of laying hens.
  
  The activities will not be physically demanding, or work until tired, we propose staggered, intense work for 30 to 40 minutes and then change of activity, it will always depend on the mood of the volunteer.
  
  Something very important is that we do not charge any money for volunteering.

  Trabajos en Fincas:
  Los trabajos en la finca se hacen a partir de las 8:00 am a 11:00 m de acuerdo al interés de cada voluntario, nosotros hacemos propuestas de actividades de las cuales puedan elegir, hay 2 días por semana en que visitamos fincas de otras personas, en la que hacemos ayuda social, las actividades a realizar son de la misma manera, nosotros proponemos actividades y el voluntario elige que quiere hacer, siempre con nuestra asesoría. Las principales actividades más comunes son:
  Trabajos en la plantación de cacao y café, Mantenimiento de las plantas, podas, control de plagas, fertilización, deshierbados, cosechas y producción de nuevas plantas.
  Procesamiento del Cacao y Café, cosecha, extracción de los granos, fermentación de los granos, secado de los grano, tostado y molido de manera artesanal.
  Trabajos en la Huerta ecológica, mantenimiento de las plantas, cosecha, riego, fertilización, almacigado de nuevas plantas, deshierbados y podas.
  Proyectos a realizar: El proyecto principal es transformar una finca tradicional en una ecológica y sustentable, adicional a ello se tiene planificado construir un dique pequeño a fin de almacenar mayor volumen de agua, para la crianza de peces, también la construcción de una cerca y un gallinero para la crianza libre de gallinas ponedoras.
  
  Las actividades no serán exigidas físicamente, o trabajar hasta el cansancio, proponemos trabajos escalonados, intensos por 30 a 40 minutos y luego cambio de actividad, siempre dependerá del ánimo del voluntario.
  Algo muy importante es que no realizamos ningun cobro de dinero por el voluntariado.

  Accommodation

  The accommodation is on the second level of a house in the Centro Poblado de San Pedro, it has 4 rooms, in each room there will be 2 volunteers in double beds (bring sheets), the rooms are not finished, it has the essentials ( electricity and internet), on the next level which is the roof, there is the laundry, shower and hygienic bathrooms (in project).
  Regarding food, it will not be given, however there are food stores in the town and there is a kitchen so they can prepare their food.

  El alojamiento es en un segundo nivel de una casa del Centro Poblado de San Pedro, se cuenta con 4 habitaciones, en cada habitación estarán 2 voluntarios en camas de plaza y media (llevar sabanas), las habitaciones no están acabadas, tiene lo esencial (energía eléctrica e internet), en el siguiente nivel que es la azotea, está la lavandería, ducha y baños higiénicos (en proyecto).
  Sobre la alimentación, no se dará, sin embargo hay tiendas de comida en el pueblo y se tiene la cocina para que puedan preparar sus alimentos.
