Description
We have a beautiful peace of land in the high jungle close to the village San Ramon ( 20 minutes) , in the province of Chanchamayo, JUNÍN in Peru. We are building a beautiful Fundo Ecolódge. doing construction with Bambú and other's sostenibles materials that we have on the area, planting our fruits, cultivating vegetables and trying to live and enjoy the nature the most respectful to the earth.
I am Laura, 38 years old, Born in La Merced ( city 12 km from San Ramón) and growing my childhood on San Ramon. I lived many years out of my country. Traveling and working in others places to finding knowledge and experience to build a dream project. I am apasionate about sostenibility, Permaculture, community life, learning new things, traveling and enjoying the nature.
We are looking for volunteers from all around the world to help with the project and also enjoy being in the middle of nature at it´s best in the high jungle of Peru. Close by there is a beautiful river to swim in, as well as pools to get refreshed. The climate is hot all year round, and in winter time (January-April) it rains, but is still hot. The work in the land is hard, and in winter time the working hours are flexible, depending on the rain (we can´t work when it rains hard).
We are looking for help planting plants and trees, taking out weeds, helping with the crops that we planted, building a special place using about 1000 glass bottles that have been recycled, creating an ecological botanical garden, Cleaning and Maintenance of the Fundo and all areas. And hosting ours visitors of the Fundo.
One thing to take into account - the road from Lima to San Ramon (and the Central Jungle) sometimes can get blocked due to mudslides or traffic accidents that may cause delays of the bus trip, so if this occurs you will need patience (this occurs quite rarley).
The arrival of volunteers to the project is Saturday or Sunday .Types of help and learning opportunities

What else ...
San Ramon is considered "high jungle", and is located 8 hours bus ride from Lima. The nature here is outstanding, with many waterfalls, diversity of animals and plants, butterflies and rivers. I have many recommendations of special and beautiful places to visit while staying here.
How to get here: The only way to get here is a bus from Lima. Currently, the best company is "Movil Tours" (Movil Bus). Other companies that are ok: "La Molina" and "La Merced". You need to buy tickets Lima- San Ramon ahead of time (one day before is usually enough, but sometimes the buses get sold out). The company Movil Tours is the only company that sells tickets on the internet. With the other companies tickets can only be bought in cash at the agency (station) of the bus company.
In order to get to the bus station of the company, you can take a taxi or public transportation (I reccomend a motoTaxi in this case). Days before your arrive, we will arrenge all the details of the arriving in San Ramon. The address is Carretera La Esperanza. Km 6.3. We are located after anexo 14 and before Anexo la Esperanza. On the main road. 20 minutes from San Ramón.
A bigger city that's located just 10 minutes from San Ramon is "La Merced". Anyone interested in coming please write me the date you wish to come and about how much time you plan to stay because I can only host 4 people at a time.
All the volunteers help to cook every day for everyone, and we live as a community where everyone helps out with cooking, washing and cleaning.
Necessary equipment for the jungle: sunscreen, repellent, long working pants, long working tshirt, hat. All of these can be bought here just in case someone doesn't have or forgets to bring.A little more information
