Description
Our theatre company, has a unique theatre venue -- a 30 meter tall ship. We have been touring contemporary professional theatre for 53 years. Its innovative theatrical productions, performed on to the deck and in the rigging of the ship, has toured internationally: Canada, USA, Europe and the Mediterranean. We are not a cruise ship. The shows incorporate music, drama, poetry, video projections, cinematic sequences and large puppets.
The company is preparing to sell the ship in 2024 and close a long story of 25 years performing and touring on the ship.
Workaway helpers may be welcome to stay on the ship in Richmond, close to Vancouver to assist the crew with different missions (several people are needed) :
- clean up the ship from winter weather and prepare the sale of the vessel
- edit video footage of the 2022 show
- update social media platforms to close the company
- help organize the company's historical archives of 53 year of producing and touring which includes photographs and video
- help with the company bookkeeping
- help provision & prepare meals for crew on board the ship

Thomas is an excellent cook and was a great support to us. We hope to see him again.
Thank you Thomas for all your hard work.
She fit in with the group on board really well, had lots of stories to tell and enjoyed the all around environment, on the ship, the boatyard and beyond.
We wish her the very best and hope to see her at the launch and at the shows… read more
I'm so grateful and happy I've got to stay with Paul and Nans but also all the workawayers on the boat for almost 2 months (April/May). This was a last minute decision because of everything that went down with covid, but I've got to spend those months learning skills, helping around, cooking, baking bread, taking pictures of the… read more

I’ve been on the ship for a month and a half and I got there as a workawayer, ready to help and learn about fundraising, social media management and content creation during the refit of the ship.
I was sorrounded by hard-working and cheerful carpenters and workawayers. And since the first day I was asked… read more
I'm not sure any description will ever do justice to an experience aboard, the spirit of Paul and Nans, and the objectif of the company.
There's no way you'll be ready; brace yourself for it : the adventure you're about to live is one of a kind, and it will change you forever.

Nans and Paul are kind and loving, and there is always someone on the boat.
The boat itself is cosy, warm and welcoming. I enjoyed the simple life and the company, and this was a time I will surely remember with pleasure.
I think that it's best to plan to spend more than just a month on the boat (as I did) because it… read more
