We have three kids and a grandchild between us. We purchased this land last year and are working hard to renovate the two houses and make the land useable. Acreage includes ponds, old growth trees, specimen trees throughout... theres wildlife : bob cats, bear, deer and a multitude of birds.

Ive worked in forestry, investigation, electrical and hardscaping. Happy to show you what I know!
Skill Sharing: I've worked in various trades throughout Ive worked in forestry, as an electrician, renovating and more recently have my own business in investigation. Persian cooking.
If things go well after a month or so we could look at paying for your time as well but this would be looked at as a possibility later.
*** can offer money for additional hours depending on skillset but that would be assessed once you're here after a couple weeks of a normal workaway agreement :)
Would be great to have help from someone that has experience in any of the following:
-tree surgery -painter / decorator -landscaper -arborculutist -animal care
-bramble/ blackberry/ brush clearing
Depending on the time of year you arrive and the other possible projects different skills could be utilized.

WHAT TO PACK
Work gloves -we do have extras if you forget
Headtorch -it’s dark at night up where there are no city lights
Lock - if desired
Rain Jacket – if we all bring one, we won’t need them. Rain or shine, this is a beautiful place !
Warm layers – it will probably be chilly sometimes… its Canada!
Easy-off shoes – you have to take them off to enter each building.
Warm socks – with your shoes off, you don’t want your feet to get cold!
Comfy clothes – for sitting on the floor, for relaxing, for yoga, for spending time outside
Water bottle – keep hydrated :)
Ear plugs – even when you’re heading up to the wilderness, sometimes people snore.
Chargers- unless you want a forced vacation from connectivity which is in fact highly recommended.
In a seperate house surrounded by lush forest.
The bathroom will be shared.
You may share a bedroom with another
WE WILL PROVIDE:
All linens + towels and a roof over your head
Stipend to cover your meals and snacks. You’re welcome to drink but we do not cover the costs of alcohol.
No drugs or smoking.
This is an ideal area if you're into outdoor activities!
Its somewhat isolated unless you own a car.
As this project is new at this time we need the following:
-take out your own travel insurance
-mentally and emotionally very fit.
