Aodhnait was brought on as a general helper, but she quickly proved herself, exceeding our expectations of a volunteer (or even as a paid member of the team, for that matter). She naturally moved into the most demanding role of the project, Project Manager. Her time with us extended from 6 weeks to 6 months.

Aodhnait is highly respected by the … read more inner circle on this project and ones outside of it, and she has skillfully managed the plethora of personalities involved here. Her enthusiastic, optimistic attitude is contagious and serves to motivate and energize our team. She is a natural yet humble leader who has the gift of identifying each person’s primary talents and bringing out the best in each one. Aodhnait is also very calm and collected under pressure. She has superb problem-solving skills, innovative team-building abilities and personal coaching talent (individual and group processes for bonding and conflict resolution.

Likewise, Aodhnait demonstrated an ability to quickly sift through different people’s wants and project needs and determined which was salient to the project’s vision. She would then suggest what could be used and what was irrelevant. She was able to focus on the objectives of the project and prioritize every task necessary to accomplish the desired end result. From there, she assigned the right individuals for each small task and provided detailed instructions, encouragement and advice and so that each volunteer member had a clear direction and contributed to the overall success of the project.

In this vein, Aodhnait kept all leaders and volunteers of the project informed of the progress through every phase. She possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a great twist of banter. She showed an uncanny ability to foresee a potential issue and address it immediately, saving the project money and preventing unexpected HR drama from delaying its progress. An effective delegator, Aodhnait trusts the crew she assembles, and they have tremendous faith in her as a fair and effective leader.

It is because of all of the described attributes that we would happily hire her full time to be involved in our project in a variety of capacities.
She is not just a Workawayer. She is a friend, teacher, coach, therapist, horse manure picker, cook, driver, recruiter, treasurer, breath worker, masseuse, alchemist, babysitter, negotiator, fixer, alarm clark, first aider, joke cracker, scheduler …
