    Description

We are a family of four; Melinda. Pete, Sienna and Snickers ( our indoor cat). We are living in one of the most picturesque places on the south coast of Western Australia.
We love nature, bushwalking, sunny days at the beach and staying fit.
We live in a suburban home a couple of kms from the beach that we are slowly renovating (both the house and garden).
Our home includes an additional unit in which another couple, Cas and Mia, live with their dog Effie.
We have almost completed an additional dwelling in an old shed at the rear.
Jobs we'd love help with include building labour (paint, lift, cut, nail.....) and/or help around the home (meals, washing, gardening).
We are a busy, active family. We eat a fair portion of our meals from the garden, we eat a mix of vegetarian and meat meals. We can definitely cater for food restrictions, but may need help with specific cooking needs.
Pete swims at the beach most days, year round. He is an avid water baby, e.g. swim, snorkel, dive, kayak, boat, fish....
Melinda loves garden projects and renovating.
Sienna is in Year 3 and is currently being homeschooled. She loves to sing, dance, be creative, and have a chat.
Snickers likes at least one supervised walk each day.

We can host you in a spare bedroom, sharing our toilet and shower. There is a double bed and a single bed. There is also a double bed in another room which maybe available occasionally. We will share meals in the main part of the house. We have a indoor cat who gets walks in the garden every day. He will want to sleep with you if you leave the door of your room open so be prepared!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We are a half hour walk from the city centre and similar distance to the beach. I have one bike that can be borrowed. Albany is hilly and electric bikes are very popular ;-)
There are so many things to do here. Hiking in local reserves. Mountain biking, Amazing beaches. Whale tours. Cultural tours. Wineries. Bars. Restaurants. Music and the Arts. There is a university in town which attracts local and international students. A great library and bookstore. There are multiple arts and music festivals, car rallies, mountain biking and other events in town throughout the year.
We are generally low key, spending time at home or in nature or with close friends and family.
