Description
We are couple who moved to Patagonia in December 2023. We are Migle, from Lithuania and Pablo, from Chile and we are trying to set up an off-grid home here in the Patanogian native forest.
We are currently finishing construction of our house and starting construction of a camping/glamping area for people to come here and experience the simple life in Patagonian forest, cleaning dead/felled trees and other forestry management task, planting native trees where possible and fencing the property to prevent illegal logging and cattle intrusions. Gathering firewood is an on going project too.
Almost all tasks we do are very physical, outdoors mostly and when indoors it's still exclusively related to construction at this point.
We also have three cats. Please consider this if you have any issues with cats (ie allergies, cat-haters not welcome :D etc).

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are here to learn from the land and from others. You will learn with us about construction methods, trying to build sustainably in a remote area and the associated challenges and have the least intervention possible; about the forest itself and all its inhabitants, about weather systems in a valley and living surrounded by glaciars. We are very much learning and you are welcome to learn from us (or teach us ;D).

Help
2025 UPDATE: For 2025 season, we are looking for help with finishing fencing around the property, replenishing firewood stocks, improving/establishing hiking path, restoring existing wood structures; building glamping area including common area, toilets etc . If this sounds like your cup of tea, let us know! All jobs are physically demanding.
--
General help with all tasks, mostly in building projects and with time these tasks will evolve to more general maintenance, forestry management, gardening ect. Almost all projects current are very physical as we are still setting up the essential infrastructure so be prepared for manual work :) Most tasks will be basic at the moment, such as digging holes, gathering materials etc. No previous experience required.
