Help with gardening and small DIY tasks while experiencing rural living in Casola in Lunigiana, Italy

  Description

  I am trying to renovate a stunning property in Lunigiana (Northern Tuscany). I am sometimes joined by friends and family. I have recently (sept 2024) re-roofed a building with a friend (see picture). I am looking for help with a very overgrown garden. Cutting/trimming trees, chopping down bamboo and generally clearing the outside areas. I also have general DIY jobs that need doing (such as painting).

  Whilst I cannot teach you Italian (we can learn together!), you will experience rural living in a stunning part of the world. We will talk on evenings over good food (that I'll cook, unless you want to), and you can join me on walks and trail runs if that appeals to you.

  Help

  General gardening, tree surgeon (for a very specific gigantic Pinus Pinea tree (see picture)!!), clearing rubbish, removing old vines, fencing, DIY (painting etc). We'll be doing this together - I just need help and someone who is fit and healthy as it's physical work.

  Accommodation

  Depending on numbers, there are beds available (or indoor camping !), we have toilets and a shower (we may build an outside solar heated shower). There are two separate bedrooms - one with single beds (x2) and one with z-beds (x2). We have basic cooking facilities and an amazing covered out door space to sit on an evening. I will cook lunch and evenings (unless others want to!). I will provide ingredients.

  There is a train station just over a mile away (about 2km) that is walkable. I can drive to and from the station to collect/drop off anyone. Pisa airport is around 90 mins away and Genoa not much further. House rules - not many - just keep all communal spaces clean and tidy, and no noise after 10pm! We start early on a morning (especially in hotter months) to get the coolest temperatures. Near to us (train journey) is the Cinque Terre, La Spezia, Sarzana and within a couple of hours Pisa, Genoa, Parma, Bologna, Florence, Siena etc. Our house is between 2 mountain ranges and we are in the foothills of the Apuane Alpi.
  No smoking (indoors and anywhere near the house).
  Currently excellent 4/5G and we do not have internet, but that could change.
  I also have 3 large Golden Retrievers) that will sometimes be with me (if they are not back in the UK)
