Description
We are a family who have been breeding German Shorthaired Pointer puppies for hunting purposes for about ten years now. It’s something we truly love, and it brings us great joy to watch the puppies grow and develop.
We live in the beautiful Westerwald region in Germany, close to the Wiesensee, surrounded by nature. The area is perfect for outdoor activities like walking, cycling, or simply enjoying the peaceful landscape. We also have e-bikes that you are welcome to use to explore the surroundings.
This summer, we are looking for a bit of extra support and would love to combine this with a cultural exchange experience. We are looking for someone who would stay with us in our home, with a private room and their own bathroom, and help us take care of the puppies.
We really enjoy what we do and hope to find someone who shares this joy, enjoys being around animals, and would like to be part of our daily life with a positive and open mindset.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will be part of our daily life and can join our social activities, getting to know our family and friends. We enjoy spending time together and are happy to include you in our routines, whether it’s shared meals, conversations, or small activities.
At the same time, you will have the opportunity to explore the area independently. We provide a car and a bike, so you can discover the beautiful surroundings, nature, and nearby places at your own pace.
We truly enjoy meeting people from different cultures and exchanging experiences, ideas, and perspectives – for us, this is an important and enriching part of hosting Workawayers.
Help
We are mainly looking for help with our puppies and some light daily tasks around the house and garden. Your main role will be supporting us in caring for the puppies – spending time with them, helping to feed them, and keeping their area clean. This also includes general dog care and occasionally taking the dogs for short walks.
In addition, there are some small household and outdoor tasks such as lawn mowing and light gardening, depending on the day and what is needed.
You will not be left alone with everything – we usually do tasks together and guide you, especially when it comes to the puppies.
My father is often present and regularly gives dog training seminars. If you are interested, you are very welcome to join and learn more about dog training and hunting dogs. This can be a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insights into working with dogs.
Overall, we are looking for someone who enjoys being around animals, is reliable, and likes to be part of a family environment.
