Hi! My name is Nicky, a 31-year-old Dutch entrepreneur who started a new adventure in 2020. In the lush green valley of Garfagnana, in the north of Tuscany, I created a small heavenly oasis: a luxurious glamping and camping destination surrounded by nature.
What makes our place unique is the perfect balance between high-quality glamping and camping comfort and an authentic farm experience, complete with friendly animals. Our focus is mainly on the Dutch market, which is why around 90% of our guests come from the Netherlands.
In addition to glamping and camping, the property features a cosy lounge bar and a welcoming restaurant where guests can relax and enjoy good food in a laid-back atmosphere.
I live here myself, right next to the river Serchio, together with my sheep, horses, dogs, cats and chickens — truly immersed in the rhythm of nature and outdoor life.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I’m happy to share my vision on running a business while caring for animals, and how I combine these two worlds within an agriturismo. I can tell you all about running a camping and glamping site, life in Italy and my philosophy of truly living your work. And if you’re interested, I can even teach you a bit of Dutch 😊
Garfagnana is a lush, unspoiled region that has not yet been overrun by tourism. If you love nature, animals, hiking and swimming in the river, you will feel completely at home here. While there are some things to see and do in the area, it is not a very busy or lively region — you should feel comfortable entertaining yourself and enjoying life in a calm, peaceful environment.
Our location is just a 5–10 minute walk from the train station, making it easy to visit cities such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The village centre of Camporgiano is about a 15-minute walk away, where you’ll find several bars, restaurants and a supermarket.
During the summer months, the area hosts some cultural events that are definitely worth experiencing.

And now the fun part 😊
Besides work, there is plenty of time to enjoy everything this area has to offer: explore the surroundings, relax by the river or go for beautiful hikes in nature. You can use all facilities (when available) and we offer a lot of flexibility — if work allows it — for example if you’d like to travel for a few days.
In addition to our workawayers, we also work with a small team of permanent local employees who support us in the housekeeping, garden and restaurant.

Accommodation
We offer a wonderful place where all workawayers can stay together. You can bring your own camping equipment or stay in one of our caravans or tents, located in the forest but still close to the campsite.
It’s a special spot where you can relax together, enjoy dinner, and listen to or make music — without worrying about disturbing anyone. There is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and a private sanitary unit with a toilet, sink, hot shower and washing machine, making it a comfortable and social place to live.
What else ...
Our location is set in the green and unspoiled Garfagnana valley. From here, you can easily visit cities such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence by train, with the train station within walking distance of the site. The surrounding area offers endless opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. For those with sufficient experience, there is also the possibility to help with riding the horses.
