  Hi! My name is Nicky, a 30-year-old Dutch entrepreneur who embarked on a new adventure in 2020. I proudly present to you a heavenly oasis nestled in the lush green valley of Garfagnana, Tuscany where I have created a luxurious glamping and camping destination. But what sets us apart is the perfect combination of high-quality glamping and camping experiences with an authentic farm setting, complete with adorable animals. The focus is on the Dutch market, which means that 90% of the guests come from the Netherlands. Beside the glamping and camping there is also a very cosy loungebar and a good restaurant on the property. I live at this idyllic location next to the river the Serchio together with my sheep, horses, dogs, cats and chickens. The place to be for animal lovers!

  I can share with you my vision on running a business and taking care of animals and how I combine these two as a Agriturismo. I can tell you everything about running a camping and glamping, the life in Italy and my vision on ''living your work''. Additionally, I can learn you some Dutch.
  
  The Garfagnana is a green area not yet discovered by tourists. You will feel completely at home here if you love nature, animals, hiking and swimming in the river.
  
  Our location is a 5-10 minute walk from the train station which gives you the opportunity to visit cities such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The village center of Camporgiano is about a 15 minute walk away. There you will find several bars, restaurants and a supermarket.
  
  During the summer there are many cultural activities in the area that are definitely worth a visit.

  Restaurant manager
  
  You ...
  - Are hospitable to our guests
  - Sees work and can motivate and efficiently manage a team
  - Have demonstrable experience as a restaurant manager
  - Are stress-resistant, do not have a 9-5 mentality, know what hard work is and you do not mind helping out where necessary
  - Speaks fluent English and understands and speaks basic Italian, knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus but not a must
  
  Activities
  - Making weekly work schedules
  - Ordering drinks
  - Managing and training staff
  - Providing feedback to the employer
  - Answering the phone (IT and ENG), answering questions and taking reservations
  
  Period: 1 April 2025 - no later than mid-October 2025. These dates cannot be deviated from.
  Hours: full-time flexible (+/- 40 hours per week, fewer hours in low season, more hours in high season)
  
  Waiter/waitress (preferably a couple)

  - Have experience in the catering industry
  - Loves to pamper our guests
  - Are motivated, enjoys working in a fun team and doing your bit
  - Doesn't mind performing different tasks
  - Speaks fluent English, knowledge of Dutch and Italian is a plus but not a must
  
  Duties
  - Serving our guests, bar work, small kitchen and cleaning tasks
  - Checking in late arrivals when the reception is closed
  
  Period: 1 April 2025 - no later than mid-October 2025 or 15 June 2025 - 31 August 2025. These dates cannot be deviated from.
  Hours: full-time flexible (+/- 40 hours per week, fewer hours in low season, more hours in high season)
  
  Pizzaiolo/ kitchen
  
  You …
  - Have experience in the kitchen, preferably as a pizzaiolo (gas oven) and can work independently
  - Are motivated, enjoy working in a fun team and contributing
  - Speaks fluent English, knowledge of Dutch and Italian is a plus but not a must
  - Does not mind working irregular hours
  
  Responsibilities
  - You are responsible for the pizzeria when it is open (misenplace, service, cleaning)
  - Helping out in the kitchen when necessary
  - Passing on purchases to our chef
  
  Period: 15 May 2025 - 15 September 2025. These dates cannot be deviated from.
  Hours: full-time flexible (+/- 40 hours per week, fewer hours in low season, more hours in high season)
  
  Cleaning (preferably a couple)

  - Will be happy to make everything spick and span again for our guests
  - Are motivated, can work independently and enjoy working in a fun team
  - Are fit and healthy (it's warm in the summer!)
  - Speaks fluent English, knowledge of Dutch and Italian is a plus but not a must
  - Doesn't mind working irregular hours
  
  Responsibilities
  - Cleaning the rooms, accommodations, sanitary facilities and facilities
  
  Period: 15 April 2025 - no later than mid-October 2025 or 15 June 2025 - 31 August 2025. These dates cannot be deviated from.
  Hours: part-time flexible (+/- 30 hours per week, fewer hours in low season, more hours in high season)
  
  We have a young team with ages between 20-35.

  I hope you haven't dropped out yet because now comes the fun part of a workaway with me :-) Besides the work there is plenty of time to explore the area, relax by the pool or the river, make a beautiful hike or enjoy our sauna and hot tub. You can use all facilities (if available) and there is a lot of room for flexibility (if the work allows this) if you want to get away for a few days for example.
  
  In addition to the help we receive from workawayers, we also employ a few permanent local employees who help us in the garden and in the restaurant.

  Accommodation

  We have a brilliant place where all workawayers can stay. Place your own camping equipment there or use one of our caravans or tents in the middle of the forest (but close to the campsite). A wonderful place to sit together, have diner and listen or make music because no one will bother you. There is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and sanitary unit with a toilet, sink, hot shower and washing machine.

  Our location is situated in the green Garfagnana valley. You can easily visit Lucca, Pisa and Florence by train. The train station is within walking distance from our site. There are endless hiking and mountain biking trails nearby. With sufficient experience you can help with riding the horses.
