Description
Looking for HOUSE-PET SITTERS (1 big dog + 2 cats living in the garden) occasionally. Your own car needed, feedback required. Please message me for details.
I started my countryside adventure on summer 2011, when I bought a piece of forest land on central Italy hills: a lot of trees, path walks and old stones.
I fell in love with Valmarecchia valley the first day I saw it, and I thought the land name was a kind of sign: in the local dialect, Boratoja means "with a good will"... in other words "for the ones who wants to trek" as the hill is quite steep!
We are a peculiar family and small community: me, my daughter, grandparents, italian and foreign neighbours, friends from a local community network... sometimes spread around, sometimes all together!
We live in a old stone farmhouse with a small garden, rounded by a wild forest, 3km away from any food shop, so you will need car or bike for moving from here.
The house has 2 bedrooms (2+2beds), kitchen, livingroom, 1 bathroom.
If you like to play music we have some instrument: piano, guitar, xilophone, flaute... and music for beginners ;)
We have one dog and two cats: they are funny, cuddly and adventurous.... while the forest around is inhabited by wolfs, deers, boars, badgers, hares, porcupines... and snakes! (so better bring closed shoes!)
If you want to have a rest from a busy life, this is a perfect place: in the morning you will hear only birds!
We could give our house (2 bed rooms, living room, kitchen and 1 bathroom) in exchange for pet-sitting and maybe some light gardening during the last week of August / beginning of September. -

Nearby you can have wonderful TREKKINGS on the hills/mountains (400/1.400mt) or HORSE ridings, you can visit medieval little towns (Sant'Agata Feltria, San Leo, Pennabilli... all reachable by local transports) or NATURAL PARKS...
if you are obsessed from CLIMBING, you will love the rocks around Perticara (4 km far)! -

Külli has been our first pet-sitter while we were on holiday. The experience was very good: she arrived two days in advance so she could know our dog and cat and see the house. Then she has been pet-sitting alone for 1 week with no problems, feeding both pets and walking the dog daily.
She is very polite and careful.

I had a very good experience hosting Sara. She is a very collaborative and careful girl, able to adapt to new situations, and full of surprises into the kitchen. She stayed less then established, because this year saffron harvesting was very low, but that was not a problem as we discussed it, finding a good comprimise for everybody.

It was a pleasure to stay with Sara and Ilian in a very beautiful part of Italy :) the work was interesting and varied and the food was fantastic. The dogs are just gorgeous too.

Susan stayed with us for a couple of weeks, she always was helpful during worktime and careful at home, she made delicious cakes and biscuits and most of all loved our dogs. We appreciated having her with us even if, considered the time she spent by herself, we wondered if our pleasure was reciprocated, anyway she's definitely a worthwhile person

We had Claudia and Markus for about one month and we enjoyed very much their presence and help here. They are willing to work, kind-hearted and full of interesting suggestions, they helped us a lot in the wood in the day and making wonderful dinners at night. It's been a great luck to have them with us.
