    Description

Right at the center of Crete, at the foot of the mountain lies the village of Prinias.
Me and my family live here, on 9 acres of sloping terrain where we homestead and run a small distillery.
In the last years we have been downscaling our production, built a house with natural materials, passive solar design and rainwater catchment.
This period we aim to adapt some free space in the distillery so as to open up for visitors as well as doing some small building projects. Parallel to this to implement the permaculture design for this place.
The land consists of olives grapes and fruit trees , vegetable garden, some wild vegetation and many oak trees. There are the chicken, the dog and the cats.
The communal kitchen has got a verandah with a view and the food is mainly organic, fresh and sometimes wild. It has an attic for sleepover and there is also a tiny house for overnight stay.
The place is situated in the beautiful heart of Crete, off the beaten tracks and the area is characterised as being of particular natural beauty.
The mountains are nearby as well as the beaches in the south and the town of Heraklion in the north.
If you wish to explore Crete this is a perfect place.
