    Description

The blue house, home, is found on the westerly slope overlooking the Goose River and tidal Margret Anne estuary, surrounded by pastures of Linden Leas. Quiet most of the time, we are on a blue route and close to the best beaches on the North Atlantic. My children have all moved out, my father lives here now. Today I have three spare rooms. Sunrise is beautiful, sunsets as good, quiet and solitude. Our home is smoke and scent-free and gluten-free. Home-grown grass-fed beef and broth, herbs and eggs are our staples. add foraging for berries, mushrooms and succulent marsh plants. There is a modern kitchen. You can do laundry but I have multiple sensitivities so cleaning products are provided. Natural beauty abounds, there is access to the marsh and river, the sand flats (2km) of the Estuary. Being so close to shore breezes, and open fields means we have very few biting bugs. Jocks, to foodies to artists in residence...all who are respectful are welcome.
The work: the blue house was originally bulit in 1862 and is an older home with upkeep and remodeling projects to both the house and property which is also residence for a small duck and poultry flock.

You will be right in the middle of where real food production begins. The blue house overlooks the remnants of Acadian dykes and aboiteaus, and clam flats used by indigenous predecessors.

You will be expected to clean up after yourself. If you inform me of your skillsets, I am sure I can find an enjoyable way for you to earn your keep, either assisting with what my kids would have done when they were here, yard work, tending the resident ducks and hens, minor to a bit more complicated repairs, cleaning, painting. There is even opportunity to assist getting ready a community kitchen up the road, and some landscaping. There is opportunity for those with competence and to harvest wild marsh greens and berries.

Single rooms, shared common areas, kitchen and bathrooms. Tents and campers welcome.

We eat a carnivore centric diet. If you want to bring your own food you can but I request there be no gluten products brought in to the house and because of my sensitivities to other item cleaning of pots etc. is crucial to prevent me getting sick. Eating mostly meat fish and eggs is slightly more expensive than other ways of eating and most people tend to only eat one or two meals a day. A good hour and a half over the base of 2.5 should earn your meals, but if you want to pick tenderloin and prime rib to eat rather than the less expensive cuts you will need to buy them from the nearby family farm yourself.

This is a no smoking, no vaping, no drugs and no alcohol home.

There is free parking, it is best if you have transportation as there is no public transport. If a ride is not convenient there is a bike to borrow to access more beauty than is around home, convenience store and local Licensed restaurants. Several riding stables near, and did I mention the beach and marsh and strait for boating.

We have reasonably fast internet for rural Canada. If you just need to upload files and zoom chat what we have is likely good. but if you need to do gaming it is not. Slightly Faster packages can be purchased from major carriers if you are willing to purchase them. Tenants have in the past.

    Can possibly accept pets

There is an over-ride here, your pet must not frighten my birds and because of my multiple sensitivities you must clean up after them and they not have "hitch-Hikers". As we live in a century home there is a strict house rule of no food in the bedrooms to reduce the attraction to move-in to long-tailed/ four-legged creatures and smaller six and eight legged friends.
