Description
Hello, we are Petra and Dieter (64 and 65 years old), both studied agricultural engineering. Some time ago, we bought a house that is around 200 years old and are renovating it bit by bit ourselves. Our house has a large bee-friendly garden with several hundred roses and hostas. We also have a few fruit trees (apples, plums, pears, etc.). In addition to our old house, Petra loves restoring old wooden furniture as a hobby.
We are looking for help throughout the year to assist us with the help that needs to be done around the house. Depending on the season and weather, this involves help in the garden or on our fruit trees, restoring old furniture and so on. Feel free to write to us and ask what help is currently available :)
Our old cat Lucie and Petra's mother Bärbel live with us in the house. As Petra cares for her mother, she moved in with us a few years ago.
Each helper gets their own room, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. We usually eat breakfast and dinner together. At lunchtime, everyone can cater for themselves and cook something or simply take something from the fridge or pantry. Petra usually cooks in the evenings, but everyone is always welcome to help or cook for the family. We are always delighted when workawayers cook traditional dishes from their home countries for us. We buy locally from the butcher in the neighbouring village and the local bakery. However, you are also free to cater for yourself.
It is important to us that we live together as a family and not like a ‘hotel’. We help each other so that cultural exchange can take place.
In October, we enjoy going to the nearby forests to gather mushrooms and love sharing our knowledge of edible mushrooms.
Right next door, there's a small indoor swimming pool. Additionally, there are many lakes around our village where you can swim. We are also close to various sightseeing destinations like Regensburg or Nuremberg.
We are looking forward seeing you and would be happy to welcome you in our lovely home.
IMPORTANT: Please do not send requests for stays if this month in the calendar is marked red. We receive a lot of requests every day and cannot always answer them all. Unfortunately, we do not have the time to write several emails every day. Since we receive requests despite the calendar is marked, other requests unfortunately go under.Types of help and learning opportunities

As the work depends a lot on the weather, some days we went to the field, and others when it was raining we did something at home. The work is hard but rewarding and it gave us time to explore schwarzenfeld and the nearest towns.

Bcz of pandemic, I can't move anywhere at that time.
But it's good to know about the real roses, not in a flower shop.
Great thanks to you.
Hope to see you all in a future when I can travel again. 👋🏻
