    Description

Hi I'm Jen and I live on a farm about 2 hours from Sydney in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Together with my son, we have a variety of pets on the farm including a dog and young puppy, horses, donkeys chickens, sheep, kangaroos and even a baby donkey who lives in our back yard.

On the farm we also have a tennis court and ball machine, basketball hoop, bicycles, ping pong and pool table.

Note this is not a farmwork job - I have skilled people for the farm business and workawayers won't be doing this. I am only looking for help in my private home and farmstay (cooking, cleaning, running errands, petsitting our beagles) and in the garden and outdoors with the pet donkeys, horses and chickens. I'm usually working on some home projects like painting and redecorating which you could also help with if this is of interest.

Must love dogs and be comfortable living on a farm in the countryside. Also a bonus if you are comfortable with horses so you can help with feeding/grooming my horses.

This is a self-contained workaway gig - we love having workawayers but our life is hectic and I work off the farm as well which can involve travel - so we provide a self-contained kitchen and bedroom with ensuite bathroom for workawayers in our guest wing as your main base so you live semi-independently but still with us. You are responsible for organising your own meals, although I enjoy cooking and will happily cook a family dinners together when I can.

Also given our location this workaway works best for someone or a couple with their own car - though this is not essential it's just what has worked best in the past - however we can work around it as long as you're happy spending time on the farm more than being in the nearby towns which are a 30 minute drive away.

I'm looking for workawayers to assist with cooking, cleaning, running errands, helping in the garden, sweeping the tennis court, playing with the dogs and helping to care for our animals.

Would be a bonus if you are comfortable with horses so you can help with feeding/grooming/rugging my horses.

I also love renovating and doing jobs around the house so be prepared to roll up your sleeves and have some fun!

We are a very active family so not really suited to couch potatoes - our workawayers tend to be active and enjoy being busy and trying new things, and also happy to spend some time on their own when we are busy with work/school/activities which involves travel away from home at times.

Also you will fit in well if you are tidy, polite, are good at listening and have good attention to detail.
