Description
I am a retired international school , who travels overseas and works part time. My home is in Karana Downs, near Ipswich in the Brisbane area , Australia. I am a single woman, I travel for both leisure work and can be away 2-4 weeks at a time. I have two small dogs, a beautiful rag doll cat, and a home to care for. I am seeing someone to do basic household chores, maintenance of the yard and pool, and look after the animals while I am away. My home is a modern brick and tile home and only light work is required to keep it in order.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Queensland is a beautiful place to live, you can visit the tourists areas, beaches and generally enjoy the relaxed Australian way of life. My family all live nearby in Raceview and Ipswich , so you will be part of an extended family, enjoying BBQ's and family get togethers, but will have lots of independence. You will need to be willing to use public transport or arrange a car for yourself as my home is not in the city centre.

Help
Walk the dogs each day (twice a day) mow the lawns (fortnightly in the summer) , clean and tidy the house (its easy to keep cleaning tidy) , do the shopping and prepare your own meals, clean the pool filter. Play with the dogs - one is a Shitzu and one is a Maltese/Shitzu cross. They are small, clean easy to care for and don't shed their hair. Feed and be company for the cat.
I am offering accommodation in return for caring for the dogs and cat and looking after the house, but you will need to arrange you own meals and I will not be home for some blocks of time. It is a challenge to live in Australia without a car and your stay will be much ore enjoyable if you are prepared to get ourself a car. I cannot provide a car for you. -

Accommodation
Home is brick and tile. Your room has a new double bed and built in wardrobes. The house is in a suburban residential are a- not a tourist area, so I am seeing someone who is happy to have a residential lifestyle.

What else ...
In your spare time you can visit the beaches, walk in the rainforests, go to the gym or shop in the malls. Buses run nearby so you can access shops etc. There is a train service to the city and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. My home is 40 minutes by car from Brisbane City centre, 1 hour to the Gold Coast and 1.5 to the Sunshine Coast. You would benefit from having a car - either hire one or buy one, to really be able to enjoy Queensland. Its a large state!
