Description
My name is Talgat, but everybody callin me Tal. I am the house owner and remaining your host for 3 years now.
During the SUMMER, we offer assistance with minor repairs at our apartments in Konayev, on the shore of the Kapshagay Reservoir. We would be happy to see you here. We going to do this repair together with my girl friend Natalie. She is also very friendly and good menner person.
The Kapshagay Reservoir is a resort with beaches with a dayly entertainment (paragliding, banana), a river Ili and a steppe, desert landscape outside the city wich you can hike.
The city of Konaev has excellent ecology and clean water in a huge reservoir where you can swim. The city is also surrounded by a steppe and desert landscape where you can walk along low hills and along the Ili River.
In Kazakhkstan ALL DRUGS are illegal we kindly ask you to not bring that to appartment or at the resort.
Kazakhstan is a multiethnic country, and we respect all nationalities and races. In Kazakhstan, negative comments about other nationalities are prohibited by law.

In this summer, we are doing a small cosmetic renovation in our apartments.Our light renovations can include: removing old wallpaper and installing new wallpaper, painting ceilings and other interior elements. We'd also love to hear your ideas for repairing linoleum flooring. Our appartment is lacated close to Kapchagay Reservoir. It is within a 45-minute walk to the large water reservoir. Konaev is a city with well-developed infrastructure, with a fairly clean ecological environmen and about 45-minute drive from Almaty by car or taxi. Shops, markets, and pharmacies are all within walking distance. A shady alley leads to the nice city beach. Our beach is always sunny and cozy, with warm and pleasant fresh water.
The apartment has its own kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals. A separate bedroom is available for our workaways.

Accommodation
Accomodation for workawayers free of charge. There is a shared bedroom with 2 beds in our appartment.
There is also a room - a studio combined with a kitchen.
In the kitchen, volunteers will be able to cook their own food. We have an electric kettle, gas stove, microwave oven, refrigerator and washing machine.
We also have a toilet and a separate bathroom with bathtub.
Help no more than 15 hours a week. For example, 3 days a week for 5 hours a day or 5 days a week 3 hours a day.

There are also many beach parties here in the summer a night time, which are very fun and safe.

I really enjoyed my stay with Tal. I ended up staying for two months from mid January to mid March and feel that I was able to ski almost an entire season. We stayed at the resort for 2 weeks and did various jobs such as gardening, general odd jobs and working with the kid's camp. Talgat was a great host and we met some really nice people there. There are amazing opportunities for trekking on days off to Manshuk, Titov and up the Talgar valley. Highly recommended.

I was working at the project for three weeks and had a great time. Depending on the current situation I was either going on hikes with the children's club or helping with various tasks as collecting garbage beneath the cableways or gardening. Either way the work isn't too demanding and the usual three hours a day go by quickly.

I stayed at Talgat apt for two weeks and helped with construction. Apt is located nearby many hiking trails, hotspring and ski resort.
