    Description

Our place is in wild and peaceful Brittany!

    Hello dear Workawayers 👋

We’re a small artistic family — two musicians and our 4-year-old son — living in a lovely village near Saint-Brieuc, just 12 minutes from the sea and surrounded by protected forests and walking trails.

We recently moved into an old house with a large garden, now turning into our own permaculture-inspired space for growing food, reconnecting with nature, and creating a peaceful place for us to live slowly and simply.

We offer a warm, calm family atmosphere, shared meals (often vegetarian), gentle outdoor help (4–5h/day), and free weekends with our car available to explore the area.

Baby #2 is arriving very soon, so we’re especially looking for kind, respectful, independent helpers who enjoy quiet rhythm, nature, and simple joys.

If you enjoy nature, children, home cooking, and creative exchange, you’ll feel at home here 💚

Welcome if this resonates with you 🙏

While we mainly need practical help in the garden and around the land, we also love to share moments of creativity and exchange when the rhythm allows.

    🍲 Cooking together:
I love cooking with seasonal, mostly vegetarian ingredients — many from the garden. If you’re interested in sharing recipes, learning about simple, nourishing cuisine, or exchanging ideas in the kitchen, you’re very welcome. We usually prepare and share meals together — it’s a great time for conversation and connection.

    🎶 Music & creativity:
Our home and lifestyle revolve around music. We have a sound-treated studio space with instruments available (piano, guitars, percussion, etc.). If you enjoy music — playing, listening, or just being surrounded by it — this can be a lovely part of your stay. You’re welcome to use the space during calm hours, especially if you’re respectful of the shared environment.

    🎥 Filmmaking & visual storytelling:
I’m passionate about video and often film our journey — garden transformations, music moments, nature life. If you’re into video or photography, you’re welcome to join in or create your own visuals here. We can provide a camera or gear if needed, and there’s space for creativity!

    🌱 Living & learning together:
This is a place for people who enjoy the outdoors, the slow pace of village life, and who want to learn more about permaculture, conscious living and creative family life. We hope to learn from your background too — your culture, your way of seeing the world, your story.

In short: we’re looking for hands-on, reliable helpers, but we also enjoy sharing the human side of the exchange when the moment is right.

    🌿 What kind of help?
We are turning our large garden into a more natural, permaculture-inspired space. We would love some help from curious and nature-loving people with gentle outdoor tasks such as:
    • Light weeding or mulching
    • Preparing small garden beds
    • Observing plants and identifying what’s growing
    • Collecting fallen branches or tidying areas naturally
    • Helping us take care of the space with love and care

No heavy work or professional experience needed — just a positive attitude and care for the land. Tasks will be adjusted to your energy and interests.

We’ll often be outside together and enjoy sharing knowledge about slow living, permaculture, cooking from the garden, and the rhythms of nature. If you’re creative or curious about these things, you’ll fit in beautifully!

    Accommodation

    🏡 Accommodation:
You will stay in a quiet, independent studio located 5 minutes by car from our main house and garden. We’ll drive you there and back if needed. The studio is clean, cozy and calm — ideal for resting after garden help or enjoying your own space.

    It includes:
    • A comfortable double bed (for a couple or two close friends)
    • A private bathroom with shower
    • Electricity, heating, and clean bedding provided
    • A small reading or workspace area
    • Peace and privacy!

    🍽️ Meals:
We usually share our meals together in our main home’s kitchen. I love to cook — mostly vegetarian and seasonal food, often from the garden or local producers. You’re welcome to help with cooking or share your own recipes too!

We provide three meals a day, and all basic groceries are included. The kitchen is a shared space, and we eat together when possible.

🚭 Important: This is a non-smoking place (indoors and immediate outdoor areas).

    🚗 Free time & exploring:
We’re located in a peaceful village just next to Saint-Brieuc (Brittany, north coast), with beautiful beaches 12 minutes away by car, forests nearby, and charming local villages to explore. You’ll have your weekends free, and we can lend you a car depending on your license and comfort with driving. Buses are also available from the nearby town.

    🎵 Lifestyle & atmosphere:
Our life rhythm is simple and grounded — between music, gardening, family life and a deep connection to nature. We appreciate calm, respectful guests who enjoy quiet surroundings, creativity, and mindful work.

📚 Living with a young family:
We have a 4-year-old son and a newborn baby arriving soon. This means we live quietly, go to bed early, and appreciate a gentle, considerate energy in the house and garden.

    🧘‍♀️ House rules:
No smoking (inside or near the house), no heavy drinking or loud behavior. We aim to keep this space safe, clean, and harmonious for everyone — including little ones.
