    Description

Hey I am Olivia a elemental woman of 48 years who has lived a colourful diverse life.
I have found myself on an incredible tranquil property that is surrounded with Ancient Gondwana Rainforest bordering on a World Heritage National Park in Northern NSW on indigenous Githubal lands. I live in a Off Grid, Spring feed, 3 bedroom home that has been built from trees milled from the land. This is a biodiverse eco system inhabited by native animals such as goannas, pythons, an array of birds, frogs, potaroos and many rare species. There are walks minutes from the homestead up to the source of the spring waters where the weeds disappear and you are immersed in a thriving untouched ancient gondwana intact forest, a very rare experience to have. Also the National Park 5 kms down the road. We are situated 35 mins west of Kyogle.

Most people who visit leave feeling nourished by the immense rare beauty of these lands.

I have owned this patch of paradise for 2 years now and in the process of creating a sustainable, syntropic, permaculture food and herb forest, reviving the existing fruit trees and reclaiming some areas from invasive species. I am aiming towards being able to invite others with tiny homes to share this self sustainable off grid lifestyle. The vision is to co-create in sustainable ways in harmony with the majestic surrounding nature and each other.

If you are looking to disconnect from the hustle of the city, be deeply immersed in the pulse of nature deep in the boarder ranges mountains, get your hands dirty, learn some new skills to live more in alignment with the earth then this is the place for you.

I look forward to meeting the adventurous hearty souls who I may share this wild perch with and help to contribute to a worthy and much needed vision of living in harmony with country !!!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I am a true bush woman, weaver, native medicinal brewer, elemental therapist, herbal student, a culture lover, global traveller, nature worshiper, always open to share my skills and knowledge.
There may be opportunities to also connect and learn from my good friend a bushman, jack of all trades, green thumb, chainsaw lover, tracker, hunter Bradley.

The community is growing out this way and gathering momentum so hopefully some other colourful characters of hearty stead will be encountered.

A quiet, peaceful environment surrounded by forest/mountains/creeks and nature. Either your own bedroom, a place to camp, or I have belle tent I am able to create a private space for an individual, two friends or a couple.
Opportunities to learn about solar energy, water management, food preservation, and regenerative practises.
Shared meals using some home-grown, organic produce depending on the season.
A true cultural exchange—I love showing people around the local area and sharing stories and learning from visitors.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for enthusiastic, physically fit people who are not afraid to work outside. Tasks vary by season but often include:

Gardening: Planting, weeding, mulching, and harvesting in our veggie patch and developing other areas.

Maintenance: Fencing, clearing trails, chopping firewood, and general repairs.

Eco-Building: Helping with small, ongoing construction projects (using natural materials). Odd jobs like painting, carpentry and renovations. If you have had experience with bamboo there is scoop to harvest and construct using these materials.

You will be working alongside myself and potentially a couple other friendly skilled folk aswell.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

It is a remote area yet a school bus leaves a couple kms down the road Mon to Fri mornings and afternoons in the school window of time to Kyogle.

Time off you are welcome to explore the area go for walks , swims in the creek, immerse in the vast nature.
Depending on my own movements I am happy to share the local surroundings, National Parks, markets, waterfalls, country towns such as Kyogle, Uki and Nimbin and the occasional jaunt to the coastal area of Byron bay for the weekend.

I am not big on rules, in saying that it may be necessary further down the track hahaha.Yet I deeply encourage all to come with an open mind and heart, common respect for each other, self awareness and accountability, clear communication, and good vibes as a good foundation, to co-create in a proactive harmonious way, in this natural, peaceful, nourishing environment.
