Description
Hi, I'm Lizzie and I have a small eco campsite and work part time in disability services. I don't need help with my business.
I'm rewilding the land and managing two wildflower meadows.
I have two old pigs, keep bees, and a couple of dogs. It's a very peaceful and quiet place surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife. There is a lot to do for one person so I would appreciate some help with various jobs like my vegetable polytunnel, clearing, weeding, landscaping, help with the animals (including bees), some DIY building/carpentry projects, bicycle maintenance etc.
I am quite remote (13km from Dunmanway) but I have a bicycle you can borrow, or I can give lifts into town when I am going to work, or if you feel comfortable to hitch hike it is fairly common and safe to do around west Cork. There is 4G mobile signal in the area but there's only limited internet access at my place.Types of help and learning opportunities

There is a caravan for workawayers which is suitable for couples or friends travelling together. The food is mostly vegan, partly vegetarian. There is a kitchen you can use either in the caravan or if it's not busy, the campsite kitchen, but we can sometimes share meals together. There's a shower and a compost toilet.
Please note it can be wet, cold and muddy so bring appropriate clothing and gear. I encourage wildlife so I don't use poisons etc here but that means there can be less desirable things like insects. In early summer there are a lot of midges in the evenings! What else ...
I am (by car) 10 mins from Inchigeelagh and Dunmanway, 25 mins from Macroom, 30 mins from Bantry, 40 mins from Clonakilty, Glengarriff and Skibbereen and 50 mins from Cork city, Kinsale and Killarney. The countryside is beautiful around here with mountains, lakes, rivers and the sea all fairly close. We are close to the beautiful West Cork peninsulas - Mizen Head, Sheep's Head and the Beara Peninsula. We are also close to the Gaeltacht (Irish speaking area) around Ballingeary.
Public transport is limited - there are buses to Dunmanway and Macroom.A little more information
