My name is Nick and I own a property in Yungaburra where I can need some help.
Computer skills would be an advantage.
We are located in Yungaburra, a one and a half hour drive from Cairns, North Queensland.
We are always looking for new volunteers to help us keeping our organic garden sustainable, and are eager to learn about your experiences and knowledge.
We prefer longer stays, but a minimum stay of 2 weeks is a must.
You will be in contact with many local workers. We all live in a multicultural and friendly environment. There is a restaurant (pizza and pasta) on site and the food is excellent and plentiful, we can offer vegetarian food.
There is always lots of gardening to be done. Weeding, planting, watering, mowing and all general garden duties.
Our area is nearby to lakes, waterfalls and rain forests. Our Petersen Creek has platypus' and tree-climbing kangaroos.
There is a Transnorth bus service daily, from Cairns to Atherton, where I can pick you up if you do not have a car.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You can gather experience with gardening and general maintenance. We are located between the two great natural sights which are the Daintree rainforest and the Barrier Reef. The next major city is Cairns which is about one and a half hours from here. You will be working in a multicultural environment and learn about the local flora and fauna. I am fluent in English, German and Italian which can make things easier.
Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage
This host offers accommodation and payment.
Host has indicated that they will pay at least the minimum hourly wage of their country for each hour worked and that accommodation will also be provided. They are asking for help with a business or business activity. Contact the host directly via the site messenger for more information and details about the wage provided. Any arrangements should be agreed in advance with your host.
Most of the work is gardening and taking care of the fruit trees. It is always nice if you can bring some experience but it is not necessary. You will be working with my employees so you will be supervised. You are expected to work around 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We have all the tools you will need.
**Only if you worked over the hours required a week, then you will get paid by the reward wages to the job position**
You will have your own room with a double bed and kitchen. TV in your room and WIFI at the restaurant.
Or camping space with power and water for your own accommodation.
What else ...
The crater lakes are near by, as well as the platypus walkway at the Peterson creek. My place is just a two minutes walk to the town center where you can visit the historical pub and do some shopping if you want to. There are also the famous Yungaburra markets every fourth Saturday of the month.
