Description
We are a fit and active couple in our 70s who have recently bought a home (2021) right by the water on Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, 30km from Brisbane.
Over the next two years we will renovate and paint the home, install new kitchen and two bathrooms. Graham has some woodworking skill but needs help during that time with various tasks and we are willing to give you a comfortable bed, good food and company and access to bathroom and washing machine in exchange for 4 hours help per day, 5 days per week. Our preference is for a single person or couple who have some skills or experience in renovating. An electrician, plumber or carpenter would be particularly welcome. Duration can be for a minimum of one week but more normally two to six weeks.
We have hosted over 100 Helpers from 2012 to 2020 in our last home and have enjoyed their company and always had good reviews from them. We are sure you will be safe and happy with us and give you help with your travel plans, buying a vehicle etc. Feel free to ask any questions.Types of help and learning opportunities
