    Description

Come and share our home in the Canadian wilderness. We are located in the Robson Valley at Tete Jaune Cache, just 10 minutes from Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. We are 1 hour from Jasper, Alberta. Our house overlooks the Fraser River with mountain views on three sides. Most mornings we see deer, bear or moose crossing the river as we drink coffee on the deck of our cabin.

Hike, fish or relax right here on our 55 acre property. Hike the numerous trails in the valley. The Berg Lake Trail head is just 10 minutes away in Mt. Robson Park, a world heritage site. We are 20 km from Valemount, the nearest village.

We are a retired couple who remain active and engaged in outdoor pursuits. We live a quiet lifestyle in a rural area close to nature. As long term residents of the area we can fill you in on all the sights and local history.

We offer a chance for visitors to see a rural lifestyle that most urban dwellers are not familiar with. We still cook on a wood fired stove, raise our own vegetables and chop our own wood. Learn to make bread, pies and cookies. Preserve garden produce and pick wild fruit. See animals in their natural habitat.

We have an extensive yard and garden. Our collection of lilacs is the focus of our annual Lilac Walk when we invite the public to view our lilacs and enjoy tea in the garden. A lot of gardening chores are required to prepare for this event.

We are looking for help with landscaping, mowing and gardening. Some minor renovations and painting also need attention.

We like to do our gardening work in the cooler morning times. This leaves afternoons and weekends free for relaxing, wildlife viewing, hiking on the many trails in the area or visiting Mt. Robson Park and Jasper. We can be flexible with our schedule.
