    Description

We are a couple living in Montpellier and we are planning to be away for about a month at the end of the year (exact dates to be confirmed).

We are looking for a responsible, animal-loving person who would enjoy spending some time in the South of France while taking care of our two feline companions: Ronron and Glue.

About taking care of our cats 🐾
Ronron and Glue are very calm and affectionate cats. They love human company and enjoy hanging out with us at home. Your daily tasks will be very simple:

    * Make sure they have fresh water and dry food available, and clean their litterbox.
    * Give them a daily portion of pâté mixed with some médication in the evening
    * Most importantly: provide them with some love and company!

Your space and the apartment 🛋️
You will be staying in our 60 m² (approx. 645 sq. ft.) apartment, which features two bedrooms.
Perfect for digital nomads: The apartment is fully set up for working from home, with a dedicated workspace and a reliable internet connection.

We are located in Montpellier, a vibrant city rich in history and culture, just a short trip away from the Mediterranean Sea. You will have everything you need within reach to enjoy your free time exploring the area.

    What we are looking for
We are looking for someone responsible, tidy, and calm who will enjoy the company of our two well-behaved cats.
If the idea of spending a few weeks in Montpellier, enjoying the company of two adorable cats, and working from a cozy home sounds like a great fit for you, we would love to hear from you!

Feel free to reach out and tell us a little bit about yourself!

Montpellier is a lively city, and your stay will cover the heart of the festive season.

Winter in the South: During December and January, the city is beautifully decorated. You’ll be here for the Montpellier's Christmas markets, where you can enjoy local crafts, mulled wine (and aligot saucisse, maybe), and the festive atmosphere in the city center.

A cozy pace: is a wonderful time to enjoy the city’s museums, cozy cafés, and historic architecture without the heavy summer crowds.

Community connection: We would be happy to introduce you to our favorite local spots and cafés where you can meet other locals and expats, helping you feel right at home during your stay.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy a cozy, well-equipped workspace while having the freedom to immerse yourself in the rich culture and stunning landscapes of the Occitanie region during the quiet, beautiful winter season.

We are looking for someone responsible, tidy, and calm to look after our home and our two cats, Ronron and Glue.

    About Ronron and Glue:
They are very sweet and affectionate cats who love human company. Because Ronron has a physical condition in his front legs, he requires a little extra care, which is very straightforward.

Medication: Every night, he needs a medicine mixed into a portion of wet food (pâté). We will provide all the necessary supplies. For the dry food, both cats have automatic dispensers.

Routine injections: He needs an injection once every 5 weeks. You do not need to do this yourself; a veterinarian will come directly to the apartment to handle it (if necessary, as this is every 5 weeks)

Daily Care: Cleaning their litter box, keeping their water fresh, and—most importantly—spending some quality time with them. They are very friendly and love being around people!

We are looking for someone who is comfortable following these simple medical routines and who will treat our cats with the same love and care that we do

    Accommodation

You will have the entire 60 m² apartment to yourself. We provide a comfortable, private bedroom for you.

    Work-from-home Setup:
Since we are both remote workers, our home is fully optimized for productivity. You will have access to a dedicated home office equipped with:
    Two spacious desks.
Four monitors available for your use.
    High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the apartment.
(Note: There is also a sofa bed in the living area if you need extra flexibility)

    Food and Provisions:
Initial supplies: We will leave the pantry well-stocked with food for your first 1–2 weeks so you can settle in comfortably without worrying about grocery shopping immediately.

Local shopping: You’ll find plenty of supermarkets and local markets within walking or cycling distance.

Getting around: To make your life easier, we have two bicycles that you are welcome to use to explore the city, do your grocery runs, or simply enjoy the ride to the city center.

We ask that you keep the shared spaces clean and tidy, just as you would find them upon your arrival. We want you to feel at home, so please treat our space with the same care and respect that you would your own!

    What else ...

We will leave 2 bikes at your disposal, also the public transportation in the city is really good.

Explore the Old Town: Get lost in the medieval winding streets of the Écusson, visit the breathtaking Place de la Comédie, or grab a coffee at the lively Beaux-Arts neighborhood (right next to us).

Hit the Beach and etangs: Take Tram Line 3 straight to the sea! You can be laying on the Mediterranean beaches of Carnon or Palavas-les-Flots in under an hour, or ride a bike down the flat lagoon paths where you can spot wild pink flamingos.

Culture & Art: Visit the world-class Musée Fabre (free on the 1st sunday of every month), enjoy local street markets, or check out the regional wine bars.

Day Trips: Take cheap regional trains to nearby historical wonders like Nîmes (Roman arenas), the walled city of Aigues-Mortes, or the beautiful beach town of Sète (great seafood there)

    Glue and Ronron (2 years)

Ronron (grey) and Glue (grey and white) are calm, sweet, and a little shy at first, but very affectionate once they know you.

Ronron has a front paw condition. It doesn’t limit him at all—he still climbs and plays normally! He just requires a daily medication mixed into his evening food, and a shot every 5 weeks (a vet goes to our place to do it). Keeping him at a healthy weight is key to his joint health, so they both have automatic feeders.
